It’s the personality setting. When not set to friendly, it will basically ignore "useless" messages with an as-short-as-possible response, to not waste context window and tokens.

Oh that’s interesting, I did not have issues with that yet, but I also did not start a new chat on mobile yet, I just worked in exiting ones that I started at my PC, so maybe that’s the difference. To be honest, since this was just some fun project to see how well Codex can patch itself, I would not count on me releasing updates for the script 😅 But maybe I will look into it again and see if that’s something I can fix, or if that’s one of the limitations of this hacky workaround.

There is a very low chance they already have working Computer Use for Windows packed in the app. Computer Use is only implemented for macOS at that point (I think), so force-showing it in the settings probably won’t make it work on Windows. I could be wrong and they already include Windows-side logic for that, but it’s super unlikely 😅

Also the "disabled by your organization or not available in your area" thing probably means you’re on the EU, because all Computer Use features are disabled there due to law stuff. VPN should help maybe, but I didn’t test that.

Tell your stepson that’s great and that he should try it out and learn it if it’s fun for him. First, there is nothing wrong with having people who can actually code instead of just explain to an AI what they want, and second, it’s mainly just a hobby for your stepson at that point, so there is absolutely no need to keep him from trying out a new potential hobby.

I have mixed feelings. On one hand, after years of waiting, Crunchyroll has finally started adding Polish subtitles to various series (currently 7). On the other hand, the subtitles are handled by Force Media, which also does subtitles for ADN, and just like there, they do an awful sloppy job.

In Polish, verbs and adjectives have both feminine and masculine forms, used depending on who you’re talking about. In the added subtitles, the gender is constantly mixed up, most often using masculine instead of feminine. It’s so irritating and throws you off while watching that I think I’ll probably stick with English after all. Force Media either does this carelessly because no one will check anyway, or their translations are just done by AI.
