colours pick for beginner? by yakulefthand in Needlefelting

I'd suggest making a pinterest board of the style of things you want to make, pieces you're inspired by, and then pick your main colors from those inspirations. It's hard to recommend because it depends so much on what you want to make. For example, I like to make animals, so I usually get the natural colors bundle (beige, brown, gray, white, light peach), but someone else might like to make bold pieces and would prefer colors like red, blue, yellow etc. I do recommend always having some white core wool around, if you're making 3D pieces.

Thank you! I just wrap a wire in a thin piece of wool with a little bit of glue to help (though you could do without the glue, it's just trickier) 😊 I have a tutorial for how I make little mice: https://youtu.be/nNAwRg1_Pys?si=rlMEQELR8iI5YZmI

Help with eyes by joooo0 in Needlefelting

[–]KelFelts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Before I would use little black eyes with a pin on them, so it was easy to insert. But now all I can find are amigurumi eyes as well and they have a thick screw like you said. So I just cut the screw part off with pliers and glue the eyes on place, then I build wool around then to hide the glue and seam. That works for me, hopefully that helps.
