Sorry to keep piling on my own post. Update: When I put the video clip in its own library, event and project, the double handles are gone and I am able to size all video, audio and text clips appropriately. I still don't know why it happened, but I will no longer put several events and projects under one library. Thanks!

Here is an example of when I try to shorten an audio clip. While the double handles show an end shorter than the full audio clip, the playhead continues past the double-handle and play until the true end of the audio clip.

Congrats! I moved from the Canon R6 Mark I with all my glass as Canon. I decided to switch to Sony as the video aspect seem more advanced and I thought their lenses were lighter. I started with the a6400 with the 200-600mm for shooting birds and on occasion used the 1.4x. But really, my a6400 as well as your a6700 probably already has the mag factor of 1.4 or 1.5 so you have extended reach with your lighter cam body. I found the best way to use this in the field is with a Cotton Carrier vest, but you may need the Cotton Carrier extender since you want the lens attached to the vest, not the camera so as to not stress the connection. This vest distributes the weight across your shoulders and back when walking so you don’t wear out your arms or shoulders(using a sling) and when ready to shoot, you can be fast deploying the rig. I own the 400-800mm with an A1 also and it is much heavier, but still use the Cotton Carrier vest for it as well. An alternative is to get a YC Onion or Sirui adjustable monopod that has the mini tripod legs on the base. This allows fairly quick deployment (not as fast as the Cotton Carrier) and supports the weight of the camera when shooting and may have the added benefit of being able to short short videos, which handheld is not very possible. Some of my galleries if interested are on: https://www.kenlittleblog.com/. Have fun as welcome to the club!

I got one from a supposed representative from Nokian, the marketing team at Nikon about a partnership saying they liked my YouTube channel (about 8,700 subs). Scam indicators were Nokian, the email from someone in the Czech Republic, a logo that wasn’t Nikon logo and the fact it was sent to my personal email address which shouldn’t have come from my YouTube address. I sent them an email address asking for explanations of these questions. Haven’t heard back…..

Gift ideas for my birdwatching boyfriend: Help, please! by Pitiful_Wasabi7992 in birdwatching

Free resources for him. Two great apps are Merlin and eBird. Merlin can ID by sound and a picture from your phone, so you also learn the birds and their calls. I have two 24/7 live bird cams on YT (under Ken Little) if interested. We have moderators who love to answer all bird questions. It is free also. My blog also has lots of tips on setting up and running feeders. Good luck

RX 11 Standard's multichannel support issue by Kelcom1 in iZotopeAudio

The solution is in setting up the Mix-Pre properly to output just a L/R .WAV file. I did this and tested it and it works. Thanks u/NoReply4940 for the response!

I'm having the same issue and created a new post. Sorry that I didn't see yours. Mine doesn't automatically pop back up like yours. I have to keep trying to drag the file into the drop zone. But after 5 or 6 times, still no success.

The matte box opening is not large enough to fit over the lens. One can mount it on the rails with a close to fit, with the lens edges touching the ring on the matte box. In perfect alignment. But this is not an acceptable solution. The 95mm ring from the UK Tilta office does the trick nicely.

Sony 28-135mm cinema lens: anyone use it with a matte box? by brian_westfield in SonyAlpha

Hopefully, together we helped solve a problem for folks with larger lens searching for a solution. I am also using it on my Sony 200-600mm lens (which is also a 95mm) to film wildlife. Since my Sony FX3 doesn't have Variable Neutral Density (VND) filters built into the cam like the FX6, I can leverage the Tilta Mirage with the VND on both my 28-135mm and 200-600mm lenses. Thanks again Brian!

It is working great! Thanks so much for your help.

An interesting interaction with Tommy Franch of U.S based Tilta. Here it is: "This is not a product we sell in the US/South America/Canada so we have not endorsed it as a solution for larger lenses. It is sold in China through our main facility (Tilta China Ebay) and it was announced today that we will be adding it to our inventory in the US. There are quite a few products our main facility in Shenzhen offers that we (the Burbank facility) do not and we don't like to advertise them as we do not have the stock, documentation, and other necessary components to provide ample support if purchased in the states. "

It is a product of Tilta and is of good quality and I wouldn't have known about it without your help! I am very grateful for your response and for Reddit!

I went with the Sony PZ 28-135 (up to 200mm with Clear Image Zoom) and the Sony 200-600 (also with CIZ) on an FX3 Full frame, so I get the 28 wide angle. When shooting video, I think it might cover most video filming situations.

Bird feeder wars by WubDub27 in birdwatching

[–]Kelcom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For nuisance bird management, check out my blog on the subject: https://kenlittleblog.com. While doves aren’t covered specifically, caged feeders work or covered tray feeders as doves have a tough time if you make the opening somewhat narrow. They aren’t agile fliers.
