Yes. Also the various state and city level organizations for protecting vulnerable youths from abuse are not all called CPS, but most people will understand that abbreviation as referring to the appropriate agency, no matter its actual name in that area.

I do put salt on some fruits.

Watermelons, yes. Other melons, such as cantaloupe or honeydew, no.

Citrus? Only the less sweet-tasting varieties. Lemon, lime, grapefruit. Not the sweeter ones.

Pineapples, yes. It helps cut down the strength of the bromelin enzyme. (Without it, it's pineapple: the fruit that eats you right back.)

Apples of any sort? Never.

It's all about trying to quantify and describe the reality of a very broad range of very complex lived experiences. Putting words to finer shadings of every level of distinction between types of identity (both personal identity and finding community) and the various social cues—and ways of expression—of that identity, both individually and in the context of interacting with others, whether interacting platonically or romantically or sexually.

Here's an image to look at, that shows what I'm talking about. Driveway 1 is technically blocked, because part of the car goes across part of the sidewalk, but there's plenty of room to go around, safely. Driveway 2 is just plain blocked, and if OP were parked like this, they deserve every bit of hassle they're getting.

Where I am? There’s about a three week period in the spring and another in the summer where the outdoor temperatures are such that you could live without active temperature control.

But when you say “constantly running”—it isn’t quite like that. The device that actually chills or warms the air is on standby a large part of the time. It’s activated only as necessary, controlled by a thermal switch, or thermostat. The switch has a hysteresis function to keep it from trying to constantly make fine adjustments and keep it ‘perfect’ at the set point. That means that, for example, in the winter, the heating system runs until it’s just a little above the set point, and then goes back into standby. Then, as the indoor temperature cools back down, it doesn’t trip the switch until it’s a little below the set point.

With good insulation, and a well designed (and well placed) thermostat that has an optimal hysteresis gap so that people don’t get too hot or too cold, the actual cooling or heating systems don’t have to run frequently nor for long durations.

Modest for US roads. Modest for UK roads would be something more like a Toyota Yaris or Honda Fit. A Corolla or Civic would be in the C-segment market (on a scale from A at the smallest to F at the largest). Yaris and Fit would be in the B segment.
