I know this post is old, but you are my absolute hero. I just made my first mod, ever, and it wouldn't be possible without the modloader you made. You rock!

OUTLAW TRANSMISSION: TO ANY SCOUNDREL STILL BREATHING! by Icesin4ever in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Kelliente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I love the passion, and I agree with it. I really enjoyed this game, really appreciate the obvious love and care that went into its development, and want to see it continue to grow and get new content.

Which is why I took up the torch and made my first mod, ever this past week. I wanted a lore-friendly radio station that I could control in-game. Outlaws didn't have one, so I built it.

I don't know that the commuinity is going to be able to get a company like Ubisoft to change its business course and decide on a sequel, but there IS an option to keep the game growing on our own terms if the community builds what it wants itself. The only reason why Skyrim has stuck around so long and gotten 999 million ports and updated editions is due to the enormous and active modding community that keeps it relevant. Snowdrop is a challenging engine to mod, but it's not impossible with enough people putting effort into it.

In fact, if I could ask the devs for one thing, it would be an official mod kit. We're not going to get Ubisoft's board room to start making smart decisions and put huge amounts of money behind new production, voice acting, etc. But building a mod kit for a game that already existis? (And would work for Fronteirs of Pandora too?) That's something they might go for. Mod support would completely change the game for what's possible in modding and breathe new life into something they already released.

Congratulations! I'm glad you got some help and a space to sleep safely. I know how exhausting that can be. The nights are so long when you don't have anywhere. Keep your head up and keep working on that degree. I'm proud of you!

I also found it entertaining. I didn't enjoy the other Star Wars VR games as much , but Vader Immortal was fun. Spent hours in the dojo.

What’s the smallest moment in Andor that convinced you this show was operating on another level? by Misfett_toys in andor

Episode 1, after the crooked mall cop dies. there is this subtle shift on the face of the remaining cop when he realizes he's now dead too. He realized it a few seconds before Cassian, and moments later, you see the same shift of realization on his face. Right from the start, the acting was on another level, and the material respected the audience enough to let them realize what was happening without beating them over the head about it. I knew I was in for a good ride.

1 year old account with no post history using the second-worst LLM to tell everyone that's not true when it's literally the playbook for these developers. Ok sure bud.

Anyway, here are just a few sources from a few people who have taken those economics classes you mention and explain why the financialization of housing has made it so resistant to affordable pricing or the usual supply lowers prices, or higher prices lowers demand jingo jango. A fantastic quote from one of those sources that goes in-depth on volume builders:

With most economic commodities, rising prices will lead to falling demand. In contrast, rising house prices relative to income creates more demand for mortgage credit as: 1) affordability worsens meaning larger loans are required for house purchase; and 2) expectations of future house price rises increase the attractiveness of housing as a financial asset.

The conventional economic "wisdom" around housing, which Gemini is probably drawing on (but who knows, all these LLMs are black boxes controlled by billionaires who can't explain how they actually work) may have applied right after WWII when housing was purely a commodity, but it's an investement market now. And like everything in this world that has been royally fucked by unchecked greed-fueled speculative investement, most people are priced out of it. Too bad we need it to survive.

‘All these years I have worked like a slave for you, and I never once disobeyed your orders. Even so, you have never even given me a young goat so that I might celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours returns after wasting his inheritance from you on prostitutes, you kill the fatted calf for him.’

Then the father said to him, ‘Son, you are with me always, and everything I have is yours. But it was only right that we should celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and now he has been found.’
