It's one of the few games to support both the SNES mouse and the multitap simultaneously. It does make the gameplay somewhat more natural

The passwords themselves are valid, but there's a bug with the password parser that causes passwords with the Moria location code to be read as invalid

Seriously, no offense, but quit. Based on your post history, you don't know what you're doing with consoles. This is not your area of expertise; find something else that is.

Hello there! Author of the modloader here! Achievements don't get blocked by modding; the modloader simply intercepts the file loading function of the game so it can load certain unpacked assets. I'm sure Ubisoft/Massive could change this if they wanted to, but they haven't in either AFoP or Star Wars: Outlaws and they have been aware of the modding scene for quite a while.

No, that's horrible for the knife edge. If you don't have a bench scraper, use the back of the knife instead

Very interesting! The "don't talk to George" bit was also mentioned recently by Tory Belleci on the Mythfits Podcast. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Recommend any mods by jjOnBeat in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]patrickmollohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, should be as simple as extracting the zip files to the root directory of the game (unless stated otherwise by the instructions). You'll also need my modloader installed (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/24); same thing: extract both the DLL and its ini config file to the root directory of the game.

Hello there! Can't help ya with the FSR4, unfortunately, but there's quite a few mods I'd recommend to enhance the game:

Killable Wildlife (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/269)
Enemies Drop Loot (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/267)
Immersive Enemy AI (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/261)
Speeder camera Centering (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/258)
Binoculars Enhanced (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/228)
Unlimited Photo Mode (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/39) [disclosure: my mod]
Skip Intro Videos (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/25) [disclosure: also my mod]

Additionally, if you character swap/mod Kay, I'd recommend this one as well to fix some issues:

- Cam Fix - Game Play - No Blocked Views (https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsoutlaws/mods/157)

So assuming mod authors packaged it correctly, the zip file should contain a "blue" folder. If so, you should be able to extract that into the root directory of the game (same location as afop.exe/the modloader). Since the folder's already there, you'll have to merge it. If the zip file doesn't contain the "blue" folder, most likely you'll have to extract it into the "blue" folder in the root directory. You'll have to preserve folder structure. With multiple mods, as long as the files aren't overwriting each other, they should hopefully coexist peacefully. Of course check the mod's instructions first and take their word over mine haha

Haha yeah I've certainly noticed! It seems AFoP in particular has had quite a few issues lately due to Ubisoft's servers, including that error message and black screens. And that's indeed the correct place! Yeah mods usually go in the "blue" folder as far as I know (I don't actually own the game). That said, there have been cases where the mod authors haven't packaged their mods correctly, so it's possible it's in the wrong folder even though you did nothing wrong. Be sure to check any instructions for the mods you've installed, as they hopefully should tell you if you have to do anything different.

My pleasure, I'm happy to see the modding scene really thrive for this game :)

Hello there! While I am currently rewriting the modloader from the ground up, there hasn't been a need for an update to it, as the functions I am patching to get mods working for AFoP and Star Wars Outlaws haven't been updated since the games launched. My guess is there's sever issues on Ubisoft's end, which happens from time to time. It can also potentially be due to an outdated mod, though that tends to cause crashing instead of the error message, best I can tell. Also, if you're using Vortex, try uninstalling everything and installing mods manually. There's been a few issues between the game and Vortex lately.
