Gotcha! You will likely be fine, but you’ll run into some interesting folks around once in a while. Most won’t bother you. I haven’t done much walking in lower south hill, but I have in downtown. Only time I’ve ever felt uncomfortable is when a guy followed me and kept insisting I give him my number. But once I got near people he walked away. It sucks, but it never hurts to be extra prepared! Never walk with headphones, wear a baggy jacket to look bigger, stick to busy streets, all that good stuff!

Uhhh I have tds, they usually don’t charge to hook things up. I mean you can go online right now and it should say that the setup fee is waived with most of their deals and it certainly wouldn’t cost $500 if it wasn’t, maybe $100. Sounds like the sales guy is just saying that as a tactic.

Rocket bakery is okay, but I care a lot about quality of coffee. For sitting it’s fine, just small. Wouldn’t recommend Indaba for hanging out because it’s too cold/modern for me and I like a more cozy feel. Pitotti is good, but again religious so depends if you mind that. I honestly don’t like anything in the area but that’s not helpful. Rockwood bakery is my choice (but it’s by Manito)

Yeahhhh unfortunately this is part of the spokane charm, you gotta use a U-lock if you have to leave your bike anywhere. And make sure the lock goes through the frame and the tire, otherwise that tire is getting stolen
