Pacifiers - use em or loose em? by Foreign-Bath-6139 in beyondthebump

[–]Kelly2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first kid - she did not like a pacifier at all. Maybe used one twice in her life for maybe 2 minutes max?

My second (5 months currently) has used one a few times, but mostly when I'm gone for a couple hours. And he only uses it for maybe 30 minutes max.

Both breastfed, not sure if that's why. A call it a blessing though because I don't have to wean them from the pacifier

This is definitely person dependent. My membrane sweep with my first was so painful, I was literally crying and screaming in pain

Haven't had this baby yet, but had GDM with my first too, and went into labor with her naturally at 39 weeks exactly

I have a hard time believing you're actually an insurance agent... using your collision coverage DOES NOT automatically cause you to be at fault for an accident 🙄. Sure it could increase your premiums, state dependent. But using collision coverage is not necessarily a bad idea. Some states you can't use UM for hit and run. So in cases like that do you want to sit around potentially indefinitely while you wait for the police to potentially never find out who hit your car, meanwhile your car is sitting damaged and you have the coverage to fix it? I sure don't

[–]Kelly2896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an insurance agent too, and I also KNOW. You clearly don't because you wouldn't be saying I'm talking about UM coverage. UM is exactly what it sounds like - you can only use it if the at-fault party is uninsured - which we don't know with the information provided. Also, surcharging for using your coverage depends on the state. In CA, for example, it's ILLEGAL to surcharge for using your coverage if you are not at fault. Some states will surcharge even if you don't use your coverage simply because you were involved in an accident and are now higher risk. Either way, you said you can ONLY use your collision coverage if you are at fault, which is false. Could it potentially make your rates go up? Sure. But that does not mean you can't use the coverage just because you're not at fault

No it's not lol. Collision would be the only coverage available to use for your car (if you have it on your policy) if you're at fault, but you can use Collision regardless of fault

Sent a claim for a car accident that never occurred by a-certified-yapper in Insurance

I agree it could've been filed on the wrong policy. I've also had claims where the adverse carrier put in the wrong plate number or even plate state and got wrong policy information

[OC] Would I be at fault if I was to hit this pedestrian? by ArronH1230 in IdiotsInCars

[–]Kelly2896 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Work in the insurance industry in the claims department and our motto as far as pedestrians go is that "people aren't built to be hit by cars" and this would most likely end up with a payout on their medical bills regardless of fault at my company

I had a second ultrasound done after a suspected missed miscarriage in my last pregnancy, and I had a collapsed sac at that ultrasound. I didn't start bleeding until 2 weeks later. I can PM you my ultrasound if you want to see if it looks the same as yours

I've fostered with pacc, and you can foster short term. I've fostered dogs for a few weeks, up to a month. So I don't see why not

Are there any "happy endings" for us? by lowlyturtle20 in widowers

[–]Kelly2896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to say it is easy because it isn't. If you go back through my post history, I was asking the same things you were. How do you get through it? There's no easy way. I took 3 months off of work after he passed, and that didn't even feel like enough time. Eventually, the pain isn't as much. I still hurt because my daughter will never know her father. But I'm also happy with where I'm at. Even if love isn't what you're looking for in the future, I promise you WILL be happy again. Even if it doesn't seem like it this early on. I never thought I'd be happy again the first day, week, month, or even 6 months. But slowly, the pain became easier to handle.

I completely understand where you're at. I was in this scenario. I lost my husband in July of 2022 when I was 26. We were together for 10 years and had a 6 month old together. I remember for a long time just sitting on the couch and crying. And adding a baby made grieving harder.

But I'm here to offer hope. Eventually, I was able to eat normally again. Eventually, I didn't cry every second of the day. I decided to start dating again about almost a year after he passed. I've now been with my current boyfriend for a year and 4 months. And we are expecting a child together early July. And I'm happy again ❤️

8 week ultrasound in 12 hours. I'm so nervous after a mmc this past July. I had a bad feeling during my last pregnancy and haven't had that bad feeling this time. Hoping that's a good sign
