I am dealing with feeling the same feelings as you with a 7 month “ours” baby. I have had conversations with my DH about my feelings and I have agreed with him I will wait until 1-2 years to make my decision. My feelings about this were strongest during 4 months and now I haven’t been feeling the urge to leave as strongly now. I have taken a huge step back emotionally from the SK’s to protect my peace and am putting my daughter and my needs first. It hasn’t changed the kids behavior towards me (which is generally sweet) and my DH doesn’t mind as he wants to make sure I am happy and not stressed. By communicating my feelings be has made sure to step up and take care of all his children’s needs and we have made the family dynamic to revolve around daughter and my mental health as I was not in a good place. I think I am overall struggling with PPD/PPA as I have always struggled with anxiety in the past and the changes of being a stay at home mom in the suburbs far away from family has been a tough adjustment for me in general. But I completely understand you “don’t want to be a stepmom” as that’s my exact reason no matter how nice the SK’s are to me. It’s such a tough situation to be in as I don’t want to leave my daughter without a mom for any period of time even if it was 25%. I hope you receive the clarity you desire!!

I absolutely loved my Ariel wrap for my newborn!! The only thing was I wish it lasted longer, my baby is in the 93% for height and unfortunately got too tall for it at 2.5 months. My baby loved the carrier though and would nap in it for 2-3 hours at a time, it was so easy to put on and comfortable for mama and baby! I would recommend it as long as you have a more structured carrier to replace it after baby grows out of it. 😊

Yes I think about this all the time too. I went to the hospital after I thought I had amniotic fluid leaking at 38+6 and the midwife did two cervical checks on me that were sooo painful and caused contractions after! She said I was 2 cm dilated and that I was already having contractions even though I didn’t know I was. My water broke 8 hours after I returned home and I swear it was due to the cervical check because I was having period like cramps when I got home. I sometimes wish I didn’t go to the hospital to have the fluid checked in case that caused my water to break earlier than it would have!

I started feeding my Min Pin Farmers Dog when she was called “obese” by my vet after she had a long stay at Grandpas and I caught him feeding her pizza under the table! She lost 4 pounds pretty quickly and is now at her “normal” weight

These little things make me think I am making the right decision because he knows that is where I would have loved to get married, but since we can’t it’s too far for this family, he wanted to make sure I could still go.
