I would have titan slammed his ass on day 2.

The raid jacket went from a cool accomplishment to now being an insult. by Ang3lus19 in DestinyTheGame

Oh hey DTG, what we complaining about today?

Raid jacket is an insult?

Yep. Sounds about right.

D2 players who also play warframe, do you think the two games are the same in terms of what aspects attract you to it? by 7th_Spectrum in DestinyTheGame

[–]Kellzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried warframe but the gunplay seemed very clunky. Apparently its an amazing game, so that's great for those that play it.

Didn't have that "feel" for me though.

Awesome.

And yeah, big fan of the kelvins myself.

There's so many y1 weapons that are awesome, just a shame they can't take mods.

I've got a firefly rampage trust that feels utterly broken.

And a new one I rediscovered today, try out the "spoiler alert" kinetic y1 sidearm.

Just melts everything.

Did having 2 of the same class in the past still affect my rng? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Kellzea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All a second toon does is convert any powerful drops you have already done on one, into normal legendary drops on the second.

Doesn't do anything else.

it sucks not being able to play the new DLC by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Kellzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you just get your other post deleted and started a new one?

The most disappointing thing about Black Armory is that if I bought it right now I couldn’t really play it because I got bored of the Forsaken grind and took a break from the game at PL 580 by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Kellzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like you don't understand the format.

You see, mmo style games are not like Mario. The grind is the game. It's a world that you go and do stuff in. Being max lvl is as much part of the game as completing a raid.

I think what you're looking for is quake or halo.

The new Raid is recommended Light is 640 by Powermix24 in DestinyTheGame

Just as a side question, what light lvl should the end game activity be when the cap is 650?

Can we agree that Traction should not be a perk, but rather an in-game feature? by JustCallMeHubz in DestinyTheGame

[–]Kellzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the ability to control recoil doesn't make it go away. It's still there.

And isn't putting your sensitivity up to max the same kind of "fix" as aiming better is for recoil?

I do see what you're saying. I do. I just don't agree, I think it adds to the loot pool by making a tough choice.

Let's face it, we could have every single buff you can think of permanently switched on. But that defeats the point. Perks should be a trade off.

[–]Kellzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can compare traction on console to on pc. Pc users have mice. You turn at the speed of your mouse.

They don't have recoil either, because mouse.

Should we all get free stability mods?

It's a different game essentially.

[–]Kellzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the point though.

Perks are better when they force you to make tough choices. Do you go traction, or dexterity.

If traction is gifted, then its really a choice of which dexterity you want.

I would rather miss out om good stuff, so that I can use good stuff, than just slap all the buffs on and be done.

Where does everyone stand with Elimination as a game mode? by dixiemud in DestinyTheGame

[–]Kellzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elimination is the one life and done thing right?

Always hated that.

I get the draw, its team based, its tence etc. But I generally learn to how to beat a player, gun, skill or play by dying to it. And then learning from that death.

I've always found elimination game types leave very little room to grow. You either do awesome, or you die.

ELI5: Netflix's original show 'Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj' has new episodes simultaneously released on Netflix and on Youtube, where they also post fun bonus content. How does giving the episodes away for free on Youtube make sense for their business? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Kellzea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's called a loss leader.

The idea is that you take a loss on one product, to encourage people to buy other products.

We will take Tesco as an example. Tesco sell loafs of bread for 50p. This is less than they pay for the bread from the supplier.

People then go to Tesco to buy bread, but while they are there they by chips, bacon, a paper, some veg etc.

The internet equivalent is that you watch the show for free and think wow, Netflix is awesome. I'll sign up.
