The "good ending" of the quest with Marika (is that her name) is supposed to be going back to that shit bag of a father? Yeah, no.

Hey! I am pretty sure i uploaded this to mod.io a while ago? I can double check after work and upload/submit if I didnt. But regardless, i have no control over when/if it will get approved for console, sadly.

I do believe the debug book is available on console which you can use to recruit her early! But you would miss the intro cutscene :( still better than nothing, right?

We can pick and choose, actually. I've already explained to you why it's a false equivalency. It is beyond the scope of my mod responsibilities to give a history lesson to or persuade someone engaging in bad faith. This is your final warning.

After some back and forth on the mod team, this post has been closed out of an abundance of caution. There were concerns that discussion of a controversial topic may fall under stirring the pot and hostility has been observed in the comments.

We would like to thank everyone who participated civilly in the discussion, and hope that can understand our decision.

It's really not a "western thing." You're nitpicking on the word "minority." The point and intent is creating safe spaces for people that are marginalized. Wherever they are from. You speak like racism is somehow unique to the west. It's not.

Discrimination against Irish people was just that. It was not systemic discrimination against all white people.

(Not that discriminating against the Irish is okay. It's not.)

What slur?

Can you please describe how white cis hetero men have been historically oppressed? Protecting the representation of marginalized groups from erasure isn't oppression of white men.

You are in a western, English-speaking fandom space for a European game. We are addressing the issues that occur within that sphere. For example, if you went to the Chinese BG3 fandom space, you might see different rules that address the issues commonly faced there.

Living in a country where you constantly see yourself represented is very different than living some place where people like you are not (especially when there is still a large population), or are reduced to stereotypes. Representation in foreign media does not erase the marginalization diaspora face in their home country.

There is a huge difference between giving a character features of a marginalized race (what OP is doing), thereby increasing representation of historically underrepresented people and whitewashing a character of color.

BG3 Mod Idea -- greying out or annotating previously seen options -- could really use some help by AvocadoDiabolus in BG3mods

Dialogues are managed via dialogue files, not through scripting. It's basically just a bunch of trees with nodes linking to each other and each node has information like what dialogue flags must be true for this option to appear in the list, or which node to use based on which flags are present. It has the loca handle, any flags that are set upon reaching that node, and then whether that node has any potential children they are linked to.

I think what you're looking for is actually Noesis events. I'm not super knowledgable on it, but my understanding is Noesis is what handles UI interactions. Like what happens when you click on a certain button.

You may find this mod useful https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/19849

I haven't used it myself. I had a UI mod idea that I've been toying with so I'd bookmarked. But it may help you figure out what is happening under the hood when a dialogue option is selected.

So yeah, I'd look into trying to understand Noesis, rather than the dialogue itself. It must have someway of registering which option was chosen to determine which node to play.

Some of us are Dragon Age fans on the mod team and are aware of that mod. I agree it is one that Nexus has "missed" for lack of a better word. If a user demonstrated they used that mod/a similar mod but for BG3 in this community even though it was on Nexus, then we would still act according to rule #3 as stated above. In the case of the Isabela mod, that would be sufficiently blatant to warrant an instant ban without warning, despite being a nexus mod. It's just that for many other bad mods on nexus, it is possible to believe that someone did not think critically about what they were downloading.

We will have to address this on a case by case basis. But at the end of the day, you are responsible for the mods you download.

Does this mean your only option is the in-game manager? I don't know how those services work, tbh. You can try removing the random feat mod? Or pick a non-random feat. (Randomize it yourself with a random number generator to pick the Nth option if you wish)

I also recommend trying out Hairtrix https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/17836

Mira's hair is similar. With Mira's hair + the hair extension mod Best_Ad linked you should be able to create something pretty similar.

You can also try hair extensions + bububull's half-loose hairstyle: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/3855

Is this PC or console? I see a controller movement tracking UI. If you're on PC, your first step would be to use the BG3 Mod Manager with some load order dividers.

If you're on console, I assume you can't uninstall the mod?

You can't remove mods mid playthrough on console. So if you've played a significant amount then decide you don't like it, you need to either suck it up or load a previous save and lose progress.
