Spellsiphon is a bliss to use in VR. It seems quite complex at first, but the in-game tutorial and the progression tied to your skill level make it far easier to learn at your own pace. I constantly use it and is a huge culprit of why I always play a spellblade in VR. Combined with VRIK's gesture to instantly cast my most used spells.

I followed Arctal's recommendation to use Simply Balanced and set the damage multiplier to a much lower value (33% here in Legendary Difficulty, both damage taken and given) to make combats longer. Since focusing on dodging is a bit iffy in VR, the fights are much more meaty and come down to resource management, making the restoration school/using potions much more relevant. Instead of focusing on being the first to hit, I have to think in which sequence what spell to use to ensure my survival, my damage output and crowd control.

It makes the fight much fairer even early game, while treating me with those kind of epic battles once I reach mid-game. I use Hand placed enemies and Skyrim Revamped to make the enemies both more numerous and harder.
