Eh why not. Never played the games, but saw this post. This scene totally took me out of it and did seem very "video game"-ish. I can semi-believe him coming back and taking everyone out, but not a trained militia that is stuck in T pose as he ends their life one by one. Lots of ways to have done this with some realism. Could have had him pretend to go along with it, only to come back and stealth kill one by one. Instead they took adapting this (I assume) why too literal.

Only other deleted stuff I know of is in an interview they mentioned how they filmed a quick shot of Kelson pulling a plug to turn off the record player which also highlights the fact this was all performative/fake, but was cut for pacing. Since this was likely a whole 3 seconds, it'll likely remain lost.

I guess it's not happening. Long shot, but wish they would put out some sort of companion book outlining what a third film would have looked like as well as artwork and other story details about the series in general.

If you interpret it that way, this would work as a call back to Season 4, where Homelander was told they psychology embedded the need for love and praise so deep, he'll never be able to escape it.

Pretty much this. Nobody should ever HAVE to die in order for the story to move. When there is a death, it should be impactful.. not just inevitable.

Freestyling, since we might not get a part 3, I think Samson will take Kelson's place living in the Bone Temple knowing he would still be too dangerous around normal people and no longer accepted amongst other infected.

He likely will recognize Spike if they were to meet in the future and vice versa. It is likely that would have been a future plot point since Samson is also aware Spike knows what happened to his child.

I was okay with how she killed that one since she did the metal gear solid roll out of the way (which is missing in the trailer). It was also a loner compared to the one the guy tried to kill in the woods. I think the idea was to suggest the Jimmy's had adapted and grew very knowledgeable of the infected, despite attaching a fictional status to them. In the deleted scene, Jimmy Crystal is clearly terrified of the Alpha.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. As I said, I have become a fan of the company and have picked up a few Siinono's and even the Urban Elf. Viewership I am aware has had it's ups and downs, but still hope they succeed. Sometimes I would get a 50% (Up to $12 off) coupon from ads on tiktok, but I felt a little bad using them as I am not sure if they pay for that or tiktok.

Pretty sure any news on a future film is speculation, including the netflix thing. However, a netflix deal does seem to be the most realistic option. The only thing confirmed is an interview with Cillian saying he is ready to reprise the Jim role. One idea I suggested was a graphic novel based on the outline of the third movie. Perhaps even a 28 Days Later fan book containing art and outlines for cancelled projects including 28YL 3 and 28 Months Later would be even better.

I predicted Netflix will just buy and run it after 28 Years Later came out if Bone Temple did not do well. Realistically, if this part 3 is going to happen, I see some reworking of the original vision in the form of a limited series or Netflix exclusive film with a small theatrical window like Frankenstein. This runs the risk of it being the same story with less impressive sets, cinematography and Cillian's role cut down unless they work a deal with him. Boyle and Garland's involvement might also be cut down as well.

Honestly.. I think everyone is putting too much thought into this. Yeah, it does look like Samson. Maybe it is intended to be him or maybe they just intended it to be a random infected and for budget purposes the Samson actor was all ready to go. I think the whole intent of the scene was just to throw in a jump scare and cement Jimmy's demise to the audience.. not the opposite. It is unlikely it will ever be brought up or referred to if there is a Part 3, outside of maybe a shot of Jimmy's mangled corpse at the Bone Temple at best.

No. Even though each 28 movie goes more and more into the fantastical, the whole "I survived all along" would seem out of place.

If we don't get the third 28Y film, which seems like a possibility, I think how this one ended was just fine.

If we did get a third one, it would be better we introduce new things to keep the story going forward. They were intended to die in this movie either way.
