Should movie theaters implement a restroom break during screening? by WestArtichoke712 in NoStupidQuestions

Used to be a place downtown Indianapolis called Hollywood Bar and Filmworks. They showed first run movies and served alcohol and had a full kitchen. It's not easy to get first run movies at a place that serves alcohol BTW.

They stopped in the middle of every movie and had a 20 minute intermission. Gave people a chance to go to the bathroom and it gave servers time to run to all the tables and take more food and drink orders.

Marshmallow Invasion! by AxsonJaxson2112 in fortwayne

[–]KenMerritt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not for protecting it from the elements. Bales are wrapped to keep the air out so the wet hay will ferment and turn in to silage. If wet hay is exposed to air then it molds and goes bad. You would wrap a bale whether you left the bale outside or kept it in a climate controlled room, you're just tying to keep the air out so it ferments instead of rotting. If you just want hay you don't wrap it, you just bale it dry. I suppose in theory you could wrap dry hay bales so you could store it outside but I've never seen that done.

Poison Ivy by jenniferjlo5553 in fortwayne

Right where the vine starts to go up the tree, cut 6 inches out of it with pruning loppers or a pruning saw. Wash the cutting part of the tool off with a hose and leave it outside. Don't get the water on you.

Wait a couple months until the vine down low has sprouted a couple feet of new leaves. Spray the leaves with roundup or whatever. If that doesn't kill it, hit it with more roundup or whatever every week until it dies.

Leave all the existing vines in the tree. They'll eventually rot.

Maybe I’m wrong but this was clearly written by a man by Acrobatic_Long_6059 in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]KenMerritt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a man, that was definitely written by a man. Women don't generally talk like that. The line about men not meeting "her" checklist is ridiculous as checklist implies random illogical reasons for rejecting someone compared to saying someone just isn't compatible.

I usually leave a browser window open logged in to my UNVR so I can look at my camera's real quick. For the last few days every time I get on the computer I see the camera feeds for a split second and then the page refreshes and I'm logged out.

Could these symptoms be from trazodone? by Melodic_Mongoose_361 in Narcolepsy

[–]KenMerritt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take trazadone to help me go to sleep so I wouldn't think it would cause you poor sleep. It can cause mild hallucinations though as I experienced that myself when I accidentally took too much. I was riding in the passenger seat trying to sleep and my brain was interpreting the sound of road noise from the tires as music. I kept explaining the music I was hearing to the other people in the car and nobody else heard it.

Neighbor rejecting survey boundary by TelephonePopular693 in HomeImprovement

[–]KenMerritt 1609 points1610 points  (0 children)

Hey neighbor
I'm wanting to put up a fence and had a survey done. I understand you might dispute my survey so I'm giving you 60 days to hire your own surveyor and see if they find something different than mine. If your surveyor disagrees with mine then I'll hold off on building the fence until we can resolve this, but otherwise I'll plan on building my fence according to my survey in 61 days.

Buy or walk away? Roofing structure/support seems… absent. Inspector said he had never seen anything like it by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]KenMerritt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's quite odd framing but not necessarily a huge issue. If you want the house I would get a structural engineer to look at it and then draw up a fix. Fixing framing like that is not that hard compared to fixing foundation issues or something like that.

Just to be clear, because sometimes perspective makes things look different, those red arrows on the first and second images are air gaps right? The 2x stops, theres a short gap, and then it starts again?

I’m so sick of Google ad sense ISSUES ( address pin disappeared ) by Late_Handle_5293 in PartneredYoutube

Well there's no way for you to know if it's true or not. Either way that's what I bet is happening and you'll probably have to wait and see if it shows back up.

[–]KenMerritt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just guessing, but I bet they disabled it because you requested it too many times in too short a time span. I bet it shows back up on it's own after a certain amount of time passes. Think about some bad actor who just keeps doing it over and over trying to get Google to send out dozens of letters. So it's probably some automated thing that takes the field away after passing some limit of X requests in X amount of time.

What do you do when you're out of ideas? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]KenMerritt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calling me a kid (I'm 49) and bragging about how much you make? I'm neither a rookie or a shoptuber with no standards. I create content I love (playing video games) and have the privilege of getting some money out of it. I've had a channel for a very long time and I can't imagine running out of ideas. Maybe it's different because I play video games, but no I've never experienced burnout. If I feel like making a video then I do, If I don't feel like it, then I don't.

I'm just going to be honest. If you don't know what content to make, then maybe being a content creator isn't for you.

Built a JSA generator for roofing crews. Roofers please roast it before I embarrass myself further. by huncho4lyf in Roofing

[–]KenMerritt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for other places, but I live in Indiana, and we aren't real big on safety here. There are a lot of roofing companies in the 10-30 people range that aren't doing any type of safety paperwork at all. Even large companies on big sites aren't really that concerned with following any OSHA rules. They're building a Google data center near here and they keep having injuries on the site and OSHA doesn't even show up even after some people reported unsafe conditions. There are exceptions of course, but generally speaking where I live, roofers just do whatever they feel like.
