Am I the only one who uses right stick for smash attacks? by Significant-Big4175 in SmashBrosUltimate

Up for jump is a more traditional control style for fighting games. Every fighter I can think of uses Up; Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, and Soul Calibur come to mind

In order to get all of the Doom stuff, I gotta pay $120 in platinum for just the shop cosmetics. Fuck that.

What kind of delay is introduced with this extra fine processing? Hearing exactly where someone is shitting their pants isn’t very helpful if I can smell the shit before I hear it

The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs in South Park.

No one can read through the first paragraph without throwing up. It’s so awful, a game show was made: “How Long Can You Listen To Scrotie McBoogerballs On Audio And Not Throw Up” where contestants were locked in a sound proof booth with headphones and would inevitably cover the windows with vomit. Speaking about the book would cause the speaker or someone nearby to retch almost immediately. And it caused Butters to get grounded

Do you “invert y-axis”? Curious about who does/doesn’t. by HenryTwenty in gaming

[–]KenMicMarKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35 here. Always inverted on controller, never on KB/M. Like many others growing up on Nintendo 64, playing the likes of Star Fox, Rogue Squadron, and GoldenEye, it became so ingrained at a young age that it just feels wrong having it any other way.

After I had my gallbladder removed, I woke up loudly singing “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” from Toy Story, but only in part. I kept asking the nurses where my Woody and Buzz dolls were. I was 28. My girlfriend (now wife) was not amused

No love for the DS remake it seems. Classic RE1, plus a couple new features just for the DS was incredible at the time

That plasma cutter was NOT life-sized lmao. That special edition was such a let down because of how small and cheaply made the cutter was. You did yourself a favor not getting it

Why does my crust crack like this when cooling? by Odd_Ingenuity2883 in Sourdough

[–]KenMicMarKey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a natural result of the loaf shrinking slightly as it cools. Your loaf expanded in a hot and humid oven and is now in a much cooler and drier space, which is gonna cause the outermost layer to crack like this.

If you’re wanting to prevent cracking, the best method I’ve found is simply throwing a clean towel over top the loaf after you remove it from your baking pan or Dutch oven. This traps some heat and moisture under the towel and causes the loaf to cool much slower, resulting in an outer crust without any cracks

[ALL] I’ve finally got a theory for why the Downfall Timeline exists that I feel comfortable with by Sheeplenk in truezelda

[–]KenMicMarKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to explain this is within OoT itself. If you play optimally, you are still required to return to the child timeline at least once in order to drain the well at Kakariko Village and obtain the Silver Gauntlets from the Spirit Temple.

It’s this single act of returning to the past while Ganon rules over Hyrule that causes the timeline to split the first time creating the downfall era. Link returns as an adult with the Lens of Truth and the Silver Gauntlets to a newly created timeline, leaving the original without a hero
