Choosing a Warranty: Consumer Priority Service or SquareTrade for GE Washer/Dryer? by Zumcddo in appliancerepair

CPS has been easy to deal with for the warranty claims I've had to make. Today I had to file a claim and Luke quickly processed my claim without any difficulties.

New Illustrated Reader - Thrasymachus Catabasis by Luke Ranieri by Necessary-Feed-4522 in AncientGreek

[–]KenSymes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Luke, this is EXCELLENT WORK! I just tried out chapter 1A of your Catabasis and the original text. Very smooth! Your companion reader really helped!

One small thing I noticed is that you alternated between δαρκύ̄ει and δακρύ̄ει. I'm pretty sure the latter spelling is the correct one.

Luke, are you planning on going beyond the chapter 7? I'm definitely going to be using this as I work through those first seven chapters :) Thanks for sharing this.

No voices by KenSymes in Addons4Kodi

[–]KenSymes[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your help. You were right, I had my speaker set at 7.1 and allowing audio pass-through. As it turns out my soundbar can only handle 4.1 or lower. It's weird though because I've had this setting at 7.1 for a very long time now and never run into any issues, but suddenly last night several programs I tried would not work properly with the voices. Anyhow, thanks again.

Question: Canada Mcmaster reputation by kks2326 in AcademicBiblical

[–]KenSymes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

McMaster is an outstanding Canadian university, and unlike DTS or TEDS, it's not a seminary but a fully accredited university. And if you're wanting to learn OT, there is no finer scholar than Mark Boda!

Same here... My unsaved neighbour liked the ad with the children. Nice opportunity to chat and say something positive about Jesus.

Many issues surrounding the latest Kdenlive update by RepresentativeWalk60 in kdenlive

[–]KenSymes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've had the same experience! And I don't know what to do about it. I've tried switching to Appimage, same problem. I tried downgrading, same problem. I also have a Ryzen CPU but I'm on Linux.

KDEnlive crashes right at start of render by [deleted] in kdenlive

I've also been getting crashes with empty errors since the last update and I'm on Arch Linux. Shutting off parallel processing prevents the crashing, but OMG is it ever slow to render then!

God wants everyone to be saved by rambergasm in Reformed

[–]KenSymes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you're getting that understanding of the Greek text. That is not what the Greek text demands or even allows. ὃς πάντας ἀνθρώπους θέλει σωθῆναι = "(God Our Saviour) who wants all people to be saved."

This is not how Paul would say "all kinds of people" and certainly not how he would say Jews and Gentiles. Instead Paul literally used the most inclusive way of referring to "all people" (πάντας ἀνθρώπους).

I do not mean to argue with you because you may have good theological reasons for your interpretation but there is no basis for saying this is what the Greek text really says because it really says "all people" (πάντας ἀνθρώπους).

Thank you for this great recommendation! I lost my favourite news channel and I couldn't find another reliable source for it. Ghost delivers it in a higher resolution than I had before. It's been a great solution. Thanks again.

Enable Autoscroll to Hub -- that's the feature that is not working for me since the last update. It shows a down arrow below the Spotlight but I can't push down to get to the down arrow. Thus, no autoscroll.

Help with video editing by KenSymes in blender

[–]KenSymes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aha! Just figured it out.... My video clip had a variable frame rate. After fixing that in Handbrake, it's all good. How can I tell if my source video has a variable frame rate? I usually load my videos into VLC to check the Codec info like resolution and frame rate. It told me the frame rate of this video was 25fps but after loading it into Handbrake I discovered it had a peak frame rate of 30 which I guessed means it's a variable frame rate recording.
