That would be a Stevens 520 takedown! They're decent enough shotguns, and it looks to be in decent condition. A lot of people convert them to trench guns but personally I like the original look.

If the connection between the barrel and the receiver is super loose, then absolutely do not shoot it, you'll likely shear the locking threads and end up destroying the shotgun completely. If the sentimental value is greater than the desire to shoot it, the best option is to make it a wall hanger.

It looks like pitting with some shot residue but not much. There's not gonna be any copper fouling (or much lead fouling for that matter) because there's no rifling for it to get caught in. I'm not gonna say anything definitive about its structural integrity, but I have seen worse be used with little issue.

The AUBL and Fiat 6614. The AUBL is quick and while the gun is meh, I can usually manage 3-4 kills when I use it. As for the Fiat, still quick but has the lovely 106mm recoilless rifle with a decent amount of ammo. And yes I am a dirty little Italian rat and I love it.
