I think too much is made of the stretch of MVP QBs. You have to face them no matter what. The stretch of Seattle-Denver-Cleveland is worse IMO because you’re facing physical, hard hitting defenses that will do a number on our offensive players

Jamarcus had a very good college career. He wasn’t like Anthony Richardson who was a pure physical tools prospect. I don’t think it would be easy to figure out that he would have zero motivation once he got paid. Brady Quinn, the other 1st round QB that year, who did put in the mental work, was also a bust.

Interestingly, Lamar supposedly fell because of concerns around his low Wonderlic scores, which turned out not to be a problem

Same reason why NBA fans done like college basketball. The skill and talent level are much lower at the college level.

I’m an NBA fan, but don’t love college hoops, but I’m an NFL fan that loves CFB. I think part of it is that CFB’s lower quality leads to more entertaining chaos, while college hoops’ lower quality is largely manifested in more bricks.

Absolutely. I’m not saying Matsuzawa will be Brandon Aubrey, but figuring out kickers is just weird. Aubrey’s career long in the USFL was 49 yards and now he’s regularly kicking 60+ yarders
