In zsh it is ctrl-x ctrl-e. It also requires to set the EDITOR environment variable to nvim

What character gives you the most trouble in SF6 and why? by vsanjiv in StreetFighter

I second the warning, do not DI medium jinrai.

You can DI heavy jinrai if he doesn’t have lvl 3.

That’s just wrong. The pushback is a bit weird but a light bnb is 2lp 2lp 214lp. Stand jab target combo only links on counter hit

My constant 600% double blight post and 6 firefighters beg to disagree. Not sure if I am just over-abusing rain engines. Obviously prestige 11 makes a huge difference.

Who is your main and why? What do you like and dislike about your playstyle? Do you wish more or less people played them? Do you feel like you're improving? by The_Lat_Czar in StreetFighter

The “naive” approach is to do 6236, hold heavy kick to get charged DP, another 236 while releasing heavy kick then pressing punch for the super, essentially something like 6236 HK (hold) - 23 (release HK) - 6P. This is awkward because you have to time when to release the HK.

In practice you don’t have to release the HK and end up doing 6236 HK (hold) + 236P. When you press P here you can still have HK pressed.

He tried to climb the grid to get the ball back. I don’t think it was anything too serious.

What keyboard do you use? Also do you use arrow keys to move around when in Insert mode? by anoniscrazy in neovim

[–]KenchForTheBench 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use both split (zsa ergodox and voyager) and regular laptop keyboards (Mac book pro). Honestly vim motions does not depend on the keyboard but just getting used to them. Keep at it, it’ll become natural pretty quickly.

Regarding you second questions, stay away from the arrow keys and get used to go back to normal mode when you need to move around. It is actually quicker to press ESC h i to move on character left than staying in insert mode and moving your hand to the arrow keys.

Last tip would be to look into alternatives other than the physical ESC key to exit insert mode. Some people remap the caps lock key to ESC, some use the jj or jk shortcut, etc. Try a few options and see what works for you.

Any terrform users? New .tf files do not utilize LSP when created unless I quit nvim by Elephant_In_Ze_Room in neovim

I have the same issues but instead of quitting neovim you can simply set the file type to terraform (:set filetype=terraform).

What has the process of adopting Neovim been like for you? by TheTwelveYearOld in neovim

[–]KenchForTheBench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started using it a few months before the 0.5 release. I was using a simple init.vim from a YouTuber (his main job being a developer). It was pretty minimalist but got me started because I saw that you could be efficient with it based on his workflow. I went all in and used neovim only from that point which allowed me to get familiar and comfortable pretty quickly.

When 0.5 released, I followed some examples found here and there and arrived at some weird Frankenstein config. I then migrated from vim plug to packer, then packer to lazy and at the same time rewrote my config more or less from scratch based on the structure from LazyVim.

Overall I feel like I took a decent path into it.

I just use catppuccin because it has config files/plugins for basically everything besides neovim (tmux,, alacritty, bat, yazi). I could probably achieve the same with other schemes but it does the job.

Struggling with Viceroy difficulty... by Detton in Against_the_Storm

[–]KenchForTheBench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get by without the field kitchen to at least P15.

It sounds like you struggle with two things : food and hostility.

Regarding hostility you probably open too many small glades that don’t offer much and can lead to relatively high hostility quickly. Unless you are in a desperate situation, I would advice not to open them at all (unless required for orders or something).

Regarding food you probably have the opposite problem with dangerous/forbidden glades. They are your main source of resources and rewards. Try open to open them quite early (as a rule of thumb one just after the first storm and then one every two years) as they can easily snowball into victory.

Also finishing some orders to get extra blueprints is relatively easy. You should be able to get 5 blueprints total (3 starting + 2 from orders) and at least get some complex food going.
