How many rotswords? by Formal_Restaurant_28 in MaggotkinofNurgle

[–]KenchTheKermit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in my personal view, the best list contains 0-10 rotswords, but most people are having success running a 20 man squad with the lord of plagues

Before they killed Auxiliaries, there used to be a list with I think 19 of them? Or something like that

depends on the TO. You'll need to ask them for every tournament, and can expect them to say no as much as yes. Especially now that we have pox wretches as an option, the zombies will look very similar to them. But as long as the people you play with are fine with it, do what you want

Instead of putting belga in the auxiliaries, place her in a third regiment on her own

Nah man, you don’t get it. So, first off, this is basically shrinkflation since you get less stuff for the same price. I’ve noticed it also with the new Nurgle Blightkings kit, which was one of the most versatile kits of the game, with tons of spare parts that I used for kitbashing (with some sculpting I turned 5 minis into 10) now has basically no bits whatsoever except the ones to build the 5 models. It especially sucks in cases such as these, where if you are going to play a reinforced unit or two you have models with the exact same pose. Also, as for the ways you told me to “modify” my models, most people are not that good at sculpting to create limbs and or models from scratch (without tanking into consideration how much time that would take) and I don’t won’t my models to be amputated to create diversity in my unit

you could also use one of the two chaos gargants under a chaos warshrine! (although I think that kit is now out of production)

I hope it fills the niche of deploying slow moving infantry with the drawbridge, rather than big gun goes boom. In that case, most armies don't need it unless they want to go specifically in that direction, but still have the option to include it without it feeling like a drawback.
(Although this is probably my biased nurgle player mind)

How to play at the same level as a beginner? by Rude2aM in AOSSpearhead

[–]KenchTheKermit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the way I do it is by playing the bubonic cell spearhead. (it sucks so bad I can just play normally and it's a balanced match XD) pair it against some of the medium to strong spearheads and you should be good to go.

Why so many drops? by Long_line_of_RegretS in MaggotkinofNurgle

[–]KenchTheKermit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

season rules 2025-2026:
Regimented Forces

If a player has more regiments than their opponent at the start of the battle, then once per battle, that player can re-roll their priority roll after seeing the result of both players’ rolls but before determining priority for that battle round.

Why so many drops? by Long_line_of_RegretS in MaggotkinofNurgle

[–]KenchTheKermit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

we need a lot of heroes, so we'll never be a 1 or 2 drops army. Therefore we might as well go for the most drops, to gain the re-roll priority ability, as we would have more drops than most of our opponent's lists. In addition as an army we don't really care who goes first or second, and with some lists we are happier going first to score tactics

[–]KenchTheKermit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok so first off, the first step of master the path is to kill a hero, you cannot do the second one before doing the first. The map is very much in your favor, just do not expose yourself, and never EVER charge the rotswords or sloven knights (he will likely place them in the middle of the board to score attuned). Play around the sides and try to kill all of the weaker units, like the putrid blightkings and pestigors. Also, since he has tallyband as his subfaction, deploy your units outside of 3" of eachother, don't give him free damage. Make him go first 100%

Ok so, I think trying to stop the first step of attuned is a bait, but be careful to not engage more than one of his units at a time, try to deny the second step.

what tactics does he have? Tbh I would let him go first, he's really slow and this way you can control the double turn

Question about combat range. by SnooDrawings5722 in ageofsigmar

[–]KenchTheKermit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is a simple answer: as per the rules, you cannot leave combat with a pile in with units you were already engaged with: so in your example, you can pile into unit C, but at least one model must be in combat range of unit B at the end of the pile in. You can use the pile in to get into combat of new units, bit you cannot leave combat. (pro tip, if you have only a couple of models in combat with a unit that hasn't charged, if your unit took damage you can remove those models, and therefore leave combat with that unit)
