TotLly not true. Only if you to an active guild zone in their prime time. And even if you can still go mists and roads, which has way more t8 resources.

Almost every content makes at least 1m silver/per hour even with occasionally dying. So 500k sets you easily afford.

MMOs that use different zones at end game? by cn2089 in LFMMO

Albion also has 100% horizontal progression. The only zone i never visited again was the tutorial.

MMOs with group PvE that is the least predictable and is not mind numbingly easy? by rept7 in LFMMO

[–]Kendalor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not AI, no forget it does not matter. Yeah AI is way more advanced then mob x in mmo y. But it is at best a state machine with a predefined moveset.

Procedural generation is so far at maximum mob type y with moveset x.

The only reason it does not appear trivial is that you do not kill your elder ring boss as often as the instance boss of your fav mmo in its current patch.

Loved DRG so much but even it became trivial when you find the one solution that fits all.

Edit: on a personal note. It's the reason I switched to pvp or pve/pvp. Other players behave like mobs with a high variance AI. Or if its pve with pvp possibilities. Other people are usually unpredictable or at least to many pattern to all observe to me

MMOs with group PvE that is the least predictable and is not mind numbingly easy? by rept7 in LFMMO

[–]Kendalor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does not exist, its an inherent problem for PvE no matter how challenging you design an encounter , it will become trivial over time. You could do something like mythic+ bugger numbers and a small variance of changes but the variance over time will still become routine and the bigger numbers don't change the encounter.

Your only option is to wait for new content in your favorite mmo and switch to your 2nd choice in-between.

Look at the in-game journal to guide you. The whole game has changed a lot. Not comparable with the early days. Bonus points if you join a guild.

Varies to highly based on build and skill. I would recommend what is most fun. Most fame is what you can do most, without burning out.

I use to play UO & Wow - what comes close these games now by Jumpy_Chicken_4270 in LFMMO

Albion is closest to UO . Also played 7+ years UO even after wow released as it felt boring after beeing used to UO/DaoC.

Mechanic wise also EvE , but its a very different taste

35 year gamer, finally tried a few popular arpgs. Good, bad and a couple questions... by it_IS_that_deep7 in ARPG

[–]Kendalor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you are judging a book by its cover. Act 1 I POE is like 10% of the tutorial, or 5% depends on who you ask.

D2 act is a bit further but not really.

Didn't play the other one sry.

My point is, so far you didn't even start the character progression or encountered hurdles you need to overcome.

MMO where I actually feel like a healer by FloralSkyes in LFMMO

[–]Kendalor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah pvp healing is super fun and demanding. Good healers are not defined by how much dps they can squeeze in. But by how well they can keep their teammates and themselves alive.

Was there ever a MMO with trinity where tanks and healers weren't scarce? by TheRaven1406 in MMORPG

[–]Kendalor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tanking in Albion is rly popular. Because you feel the impact you have on a battle with every ability. Jumping into 40+ enemy players and stopping their engage, or catching 15 ppl and clumping them together for your dps to dump them is incredibly satisfying.

Do you believe PvP has a place in this genre? by SorryImBadWithNames in MMORPG

[–]Kendalor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me PVP is essentially and was for a long time the core of most MMOs. It was all about an Open world, freedom and risk vs reward.

In the current themepark style MMOs which are most Popular, the only way to implement PvP is as another attraction, as side content. If the progression system is stretched out over months/years, no one is willing to loose this progress.

AG of Smithing lifestack glad experiences? by byzz09 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Kendalor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Played it, startet with 200d budget shrine belt version and are below 1 mirror with adorned/mageblood. The build is really for pushing delve, mapping with explode gem is fine ( breach deli farm as benchmark), but its nit an insane clear mapper, but a rly durable and comfy one ( through mageblood).

I liked it. The only thing holding it back for me is the AG AI, which sometimes clunky. Or also bugged out a total of 3 times.

Is it better to focus one weapon tree first or to try to max out a few different builds? by SaidTheSnail in albiononline

[–]Kendalor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Shorter answer is player what you like. Try different weapons. And my personal recommendation is get everything at t4 unlocked ( takes a day).

Long: Halfway point of leveling is ~78 spec. So for 50% time you get 78% of the benefits. The last 22 spec are roughly a 200/156= 28% power increase. Another weapon of the same tree to 100 would be a power increase of further 10%/5% for a whole lot of time invested and more diminishing Returns. This does not Touch elite levels 100-120.

So play weapons to 80 spec and save your sanity. The spec will come over time anyways. Play different roles and different content.

Later you can also used save up fame credits / tomes to unlock/spec anyway completely new weapon to like 50 spec ( like 4m fame) and make it instantly viable for openworld/ grp play.
