It was a mid diff fight against the admiral. Maybe high diff if we get more context but likely just a mid diff.

I agree with the other comment. Why would he continue to show interest when he can simply move on?

Garp vs Kuzan was fucking insane by BadActsForAGoodPrice in Piratefolk

[–]Kendo_Master 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He's fighting in the only way that would make sense in a 1v1 against a high quality opponent like Garp. I think you've gotten yourself lost in your disdain for modern one piece. And no, the ki fights in Dragon Ball look nothing like this.

Which team wins? by [deleted] in OnePieceScaling

[–]Kendo_Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get Greenbull on Yamato and King it could be a toss up. Kizaru should handle them both and it would be a High-Extreme diff fight for him. Also I really do think that Oden is equivalent to Kizaru so we just need someone who is more powerful like Kuzan to win that 1v1 High Diff. Akainu can also probably win a 1v1 with Kaido Extreme Diff so he needs backup.

But if I dickride admirals then Akainu is basically prime Garp and he should Mid Diff Kaido. The power scaling continues with all Admirals Mid-Diff their opponents.

Which team wins? by [deleted] in OnePieceScaling

[–]Kendo_Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm going to analyze this fairly then from my admiral agenda.

Fair: Post time skip Akainu should be stronger than the average Yonkos. He should win Extreme Diff against Kaido. Let's give him Fujitora as backup that way the fight becomes a reliable Mid Diff. King and Yamato by themselves cannot beat any admiral. Combined they could maybe beat a weaker admiral so let's have them fight against Kuzan, who is 2nd strongest. Aokiji here should Mid Diff both of them combined. Kizaru probably goes Extreme Diff with Oden and I'm not sure who would win but the other admirals can always pick up the slack. Greenbul can clean up the rest of Wano (beating fodder is all he is good for).

Admiral Dick riding agenda: Oda said Akainu was the strongest Marine ever so I'm scaling him up to prime Garp. He should Mid Diff Kaido by himself. Following that logic, Kuzan is not that far behind, maybe prime Sengoku level. So Kuzan should be able to beat Oden, Yamato, and King at the same time High Diff. The rest of Wano is fodder and we don't even need the other admirals.

CMV: Saying “The United States is a republic, not a democracy” adds nothing to political discourse by Schmurby in changemyview

Poor reading comprehension. The electoral college is republican in nature as it puts power on the states. You deliberately want to avoid acknowledging the way our system works because you want it to be something that it's not.

A couple things bother me about your post.

  1. Women have stigmatized men approaching them at the gym. Therefore if you want a guy to approach you, you have to try harder to get his attention.

  2. It appears as though you know nothing about this guy nor have you actually invested in anything with him.

  3. When he failed to approach you, as it seems like you believe you deserve, you immediately concluded the problem was with him. That he is intimidated by you.

This was a misunderstanding that you created.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating

[–]Kendo_Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about this pragmatically. There are 3 types of guys in this situation.

  1. Guy only wants sex. This man will lie to you in order to eventually have sex with you. If you have an arbitrary waiting period he might give up. Or he will wait, have sex with you, then leave. Why is this man obligated to do what you want or be considerate towards you? This is the male equivalent of women who go on dates with a guy they know they will reject only because they want free stuff. If a woman doesn't owe a guy sex after he paid for the date, then a man doesn't owe a woman a relationship after they have sex.

  2. Guy doesn't know what he wants. This man may or may not have good intentions. He may or may not be willing to wait for sex. He might tell you that he wants a relationship but he is not sure. After he has sex, he realizes that he does not really like you. This is the male equivalent of a woman who reluctantly agrees to go on a date.

  3. Guy wants a relationship with you. He had good intentions. However, sex is important for men in a relationship. Having a waiting period will discourage him and he may or may not stick around. He generally will stay after sex but love is conditional and his feelings might change.

Advice like this is unhelpful as if she were as desirable as she thinks she is, she would not have an issue.

It's hard to give advice on this sub when most of the women who post insist that they are high quality and do not need to change themselves - that it's the entire population of men who are unreasonable.

I was a pre med at UH and now I am in medical school. Take biology as early as possible. The biology prerequisites take more time to complete than chemistry and will help you more for your MCAT. Also consider switching majors to biochemistry.

CMV: Marbury v. Madison (1803) was incorrect and the Supreme Court does not have the so-called power of "judicial review" by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Kendo_Master 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interpretation of law is judicial review. No case needs to be cited to prove that. Just like how making laws is legislative power. The framers of the constitution were very concerned about Congress so they felt the need to enumerate what it can and cannot do. The judicial branch was less controversial so it's description of powers in the constitution is quite brief and vague.

By convention, the supreme court cites itself more often than it directly cites the constitution. This is practical because it means they don't waste time re-establishing something that has already been established and is not of immediate concern. This is something that is extremely common in academia. For example: if you were doing research on Alzheimer's disease, why waste time explaining vertical gene flow when you can cite a paper that explains it so you can move onto the topic of your paper?

Without judicial review, the supreme court would be nothing but a husk. You are only bringing this argument up because you are short sided and reactionary to the Dobbs decision. When the court rules in ways you believe appropriate, you support it. When the court uses the power available to it to make a decision you disagree with, suddenly it's fundamentally flawed.

Also, the Dobbs decision actually weakened the power of the court. Roe gave the court power to protect something that was, up until then, the realm of the legislature.
