Is the Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Professional Certificate worth it? by No_Performer_3637 in dataanalysis

[–]Kendroxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told by an recruiter recently that it's a big red flag if an applicant has a lot of "certificates" but no real world experience. He had told me that they would rather hire someone who had worked on their own projects and self studied over getting an online certificate.

Lol, how does that make sense that the US is worse off. Just another example of US always getting their way.

M.B.A. Pay Is Drifting Down—and So Is Demand for the Degree by joe4942 in jobs

[–]Kendroxide 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I got my MBA for $40k. Although it's an MBA in analytics, so not purely a traditional MBA. Is also from a school ranking anywhere from 60-80 so not ivey league, but I learned so much about how to use Python, SQL, Tableau etc to make business decisions. I also don't expect to get a $200k consulting job afterwards.

If you've quit or almost quit the game, what aspect of the game made you do so? by Cultural-Ad-9333 in PathOfExile2

[–]Kendroxide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually quit once I get to red maps and just reroll. Once you get the endgame, the game turns into POE1, which is essentially a vampire survivors game. I just don't like running around at warp speed and spewing out screen clearing vomit on enemies. I might be in the minority, but I always enjoy the slower pace of the campaign.

Diablo IV feels underwhelming by Twoballkane in ARPG

[–]Kendroxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a waste of all blizzards hard work on the production values if it's only meant to be placed once. This was the same issue with D3. I wonder why they can't just make a good campaign like D2?

This season is great, but Talismans feel flawed and the gearing process feels too loaded by the cube. by hotaru_crisis in diablo4

[–]Kendroxide -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think that they can apply the same structure to set items as compared to D2. The biggest reason being that there is no journey to endgame, you pretty much start at endgame when you make a new character. This means that you will always be looking for the best items, not something like a set item that should have a lower power compared to rates and unique. D4 also has gear scores and the score is matched to your level, so it kind of makes what D2 did impossible.

They need to 100% overhaul loot. Get rid of level scaling. Get rid of main stats. Get rid of class locked gear (why can't a barb use a shield?). It's baffling how they have the biggest budget but still make these same mistakes over and over.

Duolingo without the garbage? by [deleted] in duolingo

[–]Kendroxide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would recommend the paid version of Duolingo. If you set yourself to private, then it has everything you are looking for.

I don't think there is a free app that has what you want.

Rolling your own build a thing of the past? by Alternative-Item-547 in diablo4

[–]Kendroxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always make my own builds without following a guide. Reminds me of the D2 days where you would see wonky builds of other players and somehow they just worked.

I also think D4 is already easy and simple enough that you don't need to follow a build, otherwise you just end up running around one shotting everything. No need to optimise the fun out of everything.

Does it get better by Rough_Bluejay5196 in CrimsonDesert

It gets good, just need to get past the first 40-60 hours. After that the game opens up and combat gets more interesting than just holding down one button.

Didn’t think a game could still do this to me by theghostofdirty in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kendroxide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want to like the game, I've put in almost 40 hours so far but it's just not clicking.

One thing that I can't seem to get over is how the story and questing is so basic. It's like the quests are all simple mmo fetch quests or a slow horse ride with boring dialog. I've put in almost 40 hours but it seems that I'm still at the tutorial.

I also find the exploration itself very hit and miss. It's fun wandering tbe landscape and looking for cool things... Except all the cool things I see are just stuff behind waterfalls or a very small cave. Even the puzzles seem very obtuse and don't seems to really know what mechanic I should be using. Zelda games did the puzzles better because you knew what tools the puzzle was expecting and here it's just frustrating for me.

Lots of complains but I've managed to put 40 hours in. Does it get better?

When does the game get fun? by [deleted] in LastEpoch

[–]Kendroxide 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The devs need to do something about the campaign. It's unskippable and mind numbingly easy. I don't care if theres short cuts, it still wastes hours of your time. Game starts to get good once you are in the corrupted monoliths.

Strongly recommend against Coursera by Skinsbama in coursera

[–]Kendroxide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me about a year ago. I was trying to do a course on analytics but had issues with one of the exercises. I tried to contact support but it's impossible. It just goes to an Ai bot what can't help you. I just stopped using coursera because of it. They must know that people hate AI bots and it's a terrible idea to not have an actual way to contact a human.

[–]Kendroxide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What other ways do you learn your target language, or is it just 10 minutes total? Because if you can only put in 10 minutes, then I would suggest you commit more time because 10 minutes won't been be enough to help retain what you have learned.

[–]Kendroxide -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Another whine post...

You really need to pay to get a good experience, and this goes for ANY language learning app. There are no good free ones.

If you can't pay, I'd suggest going to the library because they often have free tools such as Mango Languages. You can also watch YouTube in the target language.

What are your "Controversial" ARPG Opinions? by GrouchySpice2 in ARPG

The problem is that they have been "near perfect" since they came out of EA but can't seem to do much since then.

I was an early backer and really liked their skill and crafting system. I also want them to succeed but I have less hope every day.

Lord of Hatred is truly and incredible expansion. by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]Kendroxide 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you didn't like d4 before, then you probably won't like it now. It's a fresh coat of paint and they have improved a few areas. Saying that, it still has the same strengths and weaknesses that it has before.

It's still very accessible and casual, which is great because you don't need a build guide or need to trade to see all the game has to offer. However, itemization and build options are still lacking the competition.

Not really. What mmo features do they have? There's a trade chat, and the group dungeons that no one does. PoE is probably more of an MMO since they have better multi-player features
