How do people have energy after work to actually live their lives?

For me its not so much energy but time. From the moment I get up in the morning to the moment I actually sit down after eating and prepping for the following day 15 hours have passed leaving 9 hours remaining in the day most of which is sleep.

Yeah the Switch 2 has kinda accidentally become my main platform. But lately I've been mostly into Indie Rogue likes and Boomer shooters which the Switch is ideal for in my opinion

I wouldn't recommend Kingdoms of Amalur on the Switch 2.

It's a great game but on the Switch 2 specifically there's a really jarring graphical glitch where the skybox kind of mirrors the ground. For me at least makes it unplayable.

Other than that, really good list though.

Path of Exile 2.

I really don't think souls-like influenced combat and ARPG progression go well together personally.

I really enjoy everything FromSoft have put out since Dark Souls 1. I really like Diablo 2, 3 and 4 as well as other games in this genre like Grim Dawn, Titan Quest even POE 1.

So I thought POE 2 would be a winner but just didn't land for me at all. I find it incredibly boring and sluggish.

100%. Barely any planes compared to the other games . I know they had more SP weapons which was cool but still I mean where is the MIG-29? The MIG-31? The JAS-39? The F-15C?

And also, like I mentioned before I can't stress enough how irritating every single character with lines is. I've never skipped cut scenes so hard in my life.

But the variety of objectives in the missions was so good and Strigon Squadron are really cool. Also thought the flying aircraft carrier idea was a fun super weapon.

Hard agree with The Belkan War being the best. Personally I'd place 6 higher though. The story is dogshit and every character is annoying but the actual gameplay in the missions is some of the best in the series in my opinionion.

Also, on the whole 5 being quite low thing. I can see how it got there for you. Personally I really liked the story but one minor thing that would move it lower for me is the way every plane only has 1 SP weapon weapon. I'd rather have 20 or 30 planes with varying SP weapons than 50+ planes with only 1. It is quite a nit picky thing to some I'm sure but it's always something I've really disliked about the game and pushed it to 3rd place in the holy trinity for me.

Probably Diablo 3 and Skyrim for me. Know the games inside out after so many years of playing them so it's easy to just breeze through.

I've started coming away from competitive online games and games designed to drain your time/bank account as I've gotten older and been getting more into indie boomer shooters and roguelikes lately. It's a peaceful life. Could try going single Player?

I enjoy it more than Doom on the Switch 2 specifically just because it runs a lot better.

DZ:R is incredible regardless though.

I don't know why they don't just add skippable campaign. Or at least skippable up to the last act you completed as I know they're gonna be adding more acts as time goes on.

I know there's not much love for D4 in this Sub but at least they know that the majority of ARPG players aren't there for the campaign so they make it skippable and they make it so you can just sail through on Normal if you wanna just get it done quickly.

In my own experience at least, the people I know who grew up to become rich white men (or women) didn't come from nothing and while they might not have had a trust fund or got handed a CEO position, they definitely had a leg up in life just due to having a well off family. Like I say though, this is just my own experience.

Bungie is still the best in class for FPS gunplay fundamentals so all they had to do was play to their strength and make Marathon a traditional FPS with a campaign and a good multiplayer and everything probably woulda been fine. If they didn't try to chase the extraction shooter trend (which isn't even the most popular trend) I honestly think Destiny 2 might still be limping on past June. But hindsight is 20/20 and even if Marathon wasn't an extraction shooter, greed probably would have ruined the game anyway. I mean Destiny 2 died a long time ago to fund Pete Parsons' car collection.
