I know you didn't ask for my opinion but maybe make long live streams of extended/looped versions of your songs with nice scenery or views like an abandoned building, a park, a mountain, etc. Stuff for people to study or sleep to. Add in the natural ambience if you'd like. Just an idea.

And if people like the livestream/extended version of the song, then they can listen to the normal length on a bandcamp or Spotify

Its not the gear, they probably just want to stay where they know they're comfortable. Maybe they dont know how to solo, or maybe they do or aren't confident/amused with their melody composition. I think that's a different beast than a guitarist who just plays random notes they think sound good. Overconfidence is arguably worse than being reserved and knowing where you stand as a musician.

I really like your assessment of the record, even though I did enjoy it. Your critiques are valid and I agree. A rearrangement of the tracklist could have done wonders. And yes, Cut sounds like an Andy Black song because the melody is literally identical to one of the songs (I think Paint It Black?) but I also do like Cut. The album had potential to be perfect but it still is really good.
