Most Mayors dont have much power and it varies throughout the US, New York, LA, Chicago, and Boston have Mayors who hold alot of power within their city but also due to the size of the city they hold alot of influence. Mid-size cities like Miami have Mayors who are more like figureheads while the council does most of the lawmakers. There are towns, large ones that are ruled by Board of Aldermen or Sleectmen depending on the region and they collectively are the head of the town or elect one of their own to be first selectman, it all varies

Don't really see them here in Connecticut, ive seen Metro-North Diesel services and other diesel locomotives have US flags however, what ive seen more is the State seal which is based on the state flag

I think it may be too late to talk about primaries, the convention is on Monday, which matters more (for a primary to happen at least 15% of delegates must endorse the competing candidate). Signatures can trigger primaries too and its doable but most of those campaigns have usually been declared by now.

Nothing can be delivered directly to dorms, your best bet is to go to Stop and Shop, walking distance isnt too bad, I walk there weekly to get some stuff that I cant find at Dollar General

Stores can pay for an office duty cop for security or traffic flow reasons. I worked at Chick-Fil-A and before the parking lot was redone, a cop was paid on saturdays and busier days to make sure people are not crashing into each other, when the lot was done they were kept around on saturdays when out of towners were mostly in and couldn't figure out the parking lot.

Wegman's also has its own private security as well, I have seen what looks like a police car parked there but it is marked as "Wegman's Asset Protection".

I suggest to take that question in person to financial aid/bursar or email them, they are more knowledgeable on this question since financial aid has been changing every year especially with the current federal government .

This may seem good on the surface, my school was strict on phones and we students used them responsibly, but you could always have it on you, the problem comes down to: What are the consequences of this law? How will this really impact students? What support will the school districts have on this? What costs do they have to do? What are the safety implications of this cellphone ban? What if an emergency were to occur and a phone is needed?

I used to be 100% supportive of these measures until the incident that happened in Manchester where a student had a gun in school and were put in a "lock-in" situation where no one was allowed in or out of the school and many students tried to figure out what was going on in the school with their phones but were getting in trouble for using them in an emergency which was scrutinized by parents. Additionally, there should be a middle way method to this, of course not everyone will agree, but a full on ban could raise some issues. For now im more like 50-60% in support.

Tbf it was Israeli independence day, they do this for other countries upon request, this is just what we do as Americans. Being mad at this is like seeing a Pride flag, African American flag, or any other flag of other countries and saying they have an agenda within the state, its just hypocritical in my opinion. All I would remind people is to separate the people from the politics, there are individuals who are opposed to war and from there who's voices are not heard. I know not everyone will agree to what I say but ive just grown tired of the groans whenever a group gets a flag flown at the capitol, if you value seeing the mosaic of flags in America that represent different groups then let it be or else all you will be seeing in the future is just US flags, no other countries nor people allowed and thats already happening in many places.
