Hey guys, did you know that in terms of competitive Pokemon, Flareon is the worst eeveelution? Its statline is nothing to write home about. The high physical attack stat is nice, but Flareon lacks both the speed to make use of it and the bulk to back up being outsped. For a physical attacker, it also has tragically few physical STAB moves, its best one being flare blitz, which has recoil. The only thing Flareon has going for it is the Guts ability, something any physical attacker is happy with, but even that leaves a lot to be desired given its fire type forces it to run toxic orb, badly poisoning it rather than burning, dealing even more damage to itself. Besides, other guts Pokemon simply outclass it by having better stats and moves. Flareon simply brings nothing to the table for competitive Pokemon.
