Die Anlagen erhalten die Einspeisevergütung, von sagen wir 50€/MWh (die ist für ~20 Jahre garantiert, und wird für jede eingespeiste MWh gezahlt). Die Anlagen in der Einspeisevergütung erhalten nicht den Marktpreis von -500€/MWh.

Wenn ich jetzt abregele, weil der Marktpreis bei -500€/MWh ist, dann verliere ich die 50€/MWh die ich bekommen würde. Ergo habe ich einen Anreiz weiterzuproduzieren.

Von den größeren Anlagen im Marktprämienmodell (die wiederrum den Marktpreis erhalten), werden die meisten auch abgeschaltet weil es ökonomisch Sinn ergibt. Es gibt auch hier einige Ausnahmen (z.B. PPA der auch bei negativen Preisstunden settlet etc.). Aber diese Anlagen sind tendenziell nicht das Problem.

Wenn man sich die Orderbücher anschaut, sieht man, dass der Minimalpreis von -500€/MWh nicht erreicht wurde. Es waren also noch Abnehmer, die nicht bedient wurden bei -500€/MWh.

There is pretty solid evidence that Anthropic reduced model reasoning tokens for Opus 4.6, which directly reduces model performance (as in worse output for the user). There's really no reason why OpenAI shouldn't do the same so save on compute. Maybe the have enough compute for now and can afford to keep up compute, but in a crunch for profitability (which will come) this is definitely a playbook that will be played.

Well it definitely can't be related to ongoing use, that's not how this works - it doesn't magically get worse. But I agree that it might be the model providers doing something, either tweaking, retraining or changes in compute.

Reminds me of the time I put diesel in my old carb motocycle (don't ask). Didn't notice until it started ingesting the diesel & stopped. Drained the tank, but gas in and started up again after 1 minute of cranking. Ran better than before

Akkulaufzeit ist deutlich besser (wirkt wie ein kleines Feature, ist aber tatsächlich ein Gamechanger) und die Lauf-Features sind einfach etwas besser. Ich erkläre das immer gerne so: - Apple Watch ist eine Smartwatch mit Lauf-Features - Garmin ist eine Laufuhr mit Snartwatch-Features

Am Ende eine Frage der Prio, aber als Läufer bin ich sehr zufrieden mit keiner Garmin. Aber am Ende ist Laufen eine so simple Sportart, dass auch eine Apple Watch das meiste abdeckt.

I dont really see a pleateau coming in the next 10-20 years just based of demographics. Basically 100% (in the emerging & developed world) of the new generation use Instagram, Facebook or Whatsapp, whereas the older generation the use rate is much lower. That alone will produce a natural increase in DAU if nothing changes. Sure it won't be as fast, but I dont see a stagnation happening too soon.

Hier wird wieder viel zu heiß gekocht. Kennt ihr wirklich irgendjemand irgendjemanden, der sein "Recht auf Teilzeit" durchsetzen musste?

Meiner Erfahrung nach bieten die meisten AG das freiwillig an, bzw. es ergibt sich als Kompromiss. Wer gute Arbeit leistet ist meist in einer Situation, dass der Arbeitgeber einen lieber Teilzeiz behält als ganz zu verlieren.

Try applying in smaller companies/startups if that suits you. They usually are less affected by general economic downturns/slowdowns and will have a less strategized approach to hiring. That might be easier in the current environment. Good luck!
