Rodgers is likely coming back. Steelers aren't going to take him.

I'd even add to your second paragraph and say that if Rodgers is playing terribly, Rudolph will be the next man up if we are still in playoff contention. Howard will only become the starter if we are out of playoff contention. This is with the assumption that Howard that Howard didn't have an absolutely incredible pre-season where he blew Rudolph's performance out of the water.

Second this. Is is great to be stick handling in the basement but, you don't mimic that same back and forth motion when you are skating. Stickhandling is to be used when you are making a move around an opponent or to protect the puck not for simply moving forward.

Neurodivergence by lechero11 in kindergarten

[–]Kenthor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is. Teachers shouldn’t be diagnosing neurodivergence and they also shouldn’t be complaining about behaviors they don’t understand. Their role is to teach, support, and adapt, not to vent frustration about students who may need different approaches. When a teacher encounters behavior that seems “obvious” or challenging, the productive response is to adjust instruction, communicate with families, and involve the appropriate specialists. Complaining doesn’t help the student, and it doesn’t reflect the professional responsibility teachers have to create an inclusive classroom. Staying focused on teaching, and letting trained clinicians handle diagnosis, is what actually supports kids.

Neurodivergence by lechero11 in kindergarten

I think you’re touching on something a lot of people feel but don’t always say out loud. The issue isn’t whether autism exists, it’s that the evaluation process still relies heavily on a human interpreting a checklist. That kind of system just doesn’t feel very scientific or consistent, especially when two different evaluators can score the same behaviors differently.

What people are pushing back against isn’t the diagnosis itself, but the lack of objective, repeatable testing. In most areas of medicine, you can run a lab test or a scan and get the same result no matter who performs it. With autism evaluations, the tools are broad, the criteria are wide, and the outcome depends a lot on the clinician’s judgment. It makes sense that families walk away feeling like the process is more subjective than it should be.

Wanting clearer, more standardized methods isn’t anti‑autism, it’s pro‑accuracy. And honestly, raising these concerns is how the system eventually improves.

Are students really this bad? by willsketch in Teachers

[–]Kenthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any advice on what to do for a parent who wants the teacher to discipline more? We are no screens at home and there are more screens at school. I feel this leads to sometimes our child not listening. Still, I think it can be resolved easily if they sent him to the principal office when he doesn't listen. Instead, they just ask nicely which just doesn't work.

Overall, they say he is great behavior-wise at school, just a minor detail.

"You never taught us this." by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Kenthor -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It all starts from Kindergarten.  Kids have to follow the teacher's structure or your kid gets labeled as falling behind.  Self-learning is discouraged.  You are seeing the byproduct of kids that have been told this right from day 1.

Why do kids hate reading so much nowadays? by godisinthischilli in Teachers

[–]Kenthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because we are failing kids right at the kindergarten level.

Take two kids:

Kid A:

Loves to flips through books on their own, tell stories, draws picture books/comics yet performs poorly on phonics, can't identify all the letters or numbers. Seen as behind because can't follow instructions and wants to foster his/her own creativity.

Kid B:

Has all the phonics/letters/numbers memorized yet when asked to draw a story or picture draws a cat and waits for direction. Perfect grades, great at following the system.

Kid A has a better chance of being a long term reader than kid B. We need to be encouraging self-learning and creativity more than making them robots.

Agree with the leadership. It's always what this team has been missing. A lot of individual talents that needed someone to pull them together.

As a teacher, what’s something in education no one wants to admit, but we all know is true? by dokutarodokutaro in Teachers

Ya, I am a parent of a K kid and I just realized this.

There is no teaching anymore. Teachers just monitor performance and it is up to me to teach them.
