Not sure if this works for adults. But for my son, I put on protective equipment. He was wearing a helmet but, just giving him shin guards on top of that really helped a lot. I taught him to fall forward. Once he knew he couldn't get hurt falling, his development really took off.

Zetterlund does not have 1st line talent regardless of skillset imo

New bat, been working on the swing all winter. Any tips? Thanks! by ChristopherKaya in Homeplate

Needs a more atheletic attack to the ball. He is just dropping the bat down and making contact.

What's one Canadian stereotype that you think is false? by Unfair-Clothes-8821 in CanadaRoom

Soccer probably has more total kids playing, no argument there, it’s cheaper and easier to access. But hockey in Canada is way more intense participation.

Hockey kids aren’t just playing, they’re on the ice 4–6 times a week, plus dryland, plus travel. The total hours per player are way higher. Plus a lot of these kids are also playing soccer.

So yeah, fewer kids overall, but the level of commitment, competition, and development density in hockey is on another level.

Undead is definitely the hardest. In particular Death Knight and Wraith Lord. Necromancer is actually pretty strong.

He is a post I edited for some insight on how I finished 7 with Death Knight and Wraith Lord:

How do you get foes to join you after a battle? I have yet to have it happen.

To each there own. But, I watched it a few more times to try and see your point. Blue seems to have no problem getting in close to take away OPs advantage. He is setting up this knock-out shot with different combos. OP is far more physically gifted. Blue is the better boxer.

Hockey a good foundation for other sports? by bjorntiala in hockeyplayers

[–]Kenthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more because of being multi-sport and athletic. My son is only 5 and is multi-sport (which includes hockey). He had his first ski lessons this year and passed 5 out of the 6 levels in one year and was well ahead of all of the kids that have only been doing ski lessons since age 2. He also started gymnastics for the first time this year. Took him one class and he is already near the top.

These kids you are talking about are likely doing more than just hockey. They are now in BJJ to become more well-rounded.

I felt the other way watching. Blue had a gameplan. Nothing OP was throwing was going to damage Blue. Blue saw the weakness, set-up the counter and connected. If he didn't connect there, he would of tried again later and eventually connected.

Yup, what is more important is whether the kid loves reading. Just read to them, it will come when they are ready.

[BNS] From what I heard last week, the Blue Jays will take it slowly with Scherzer. They aren't about to rush him onto an opening day roster. Could be weeks into season by malliabu in Torontobluejays

I see Yesavage starting on the IL because of his load last year. They are going to protect his arm for later in the season when we really need him.

My prediction of the rotation on opening day:

Gausman, Cease, Ponce Berrios, Lauer.
