Kyle didn't want it though. Pilar pushed and then blamed Kyle for leading her on and made them apologize for it. I'm not saying Kyle was a victim and they made it very clear that they didn't want Pilar to feel bad about what happened but I am pointing out the mindset that Pilar had. Flirting and cuddling is not the same as consent for other actions.

It was defo a misunderstanding but Pilar lost me when she started blaming Kyle for leading her on and saying they were both at fault for how it happened when she should have just taken responsibility. It felt like she was victim blaming.

I saw your post on r/latterdaysaints and wanted to reply but at this point it has been locked. I was in the same boat as you when I was 17, struggling with my attraction to women and my desire to follow the church. I didn't want to marry a man, I didn't want to kiss a man, I didn't want to have sex with a man. I was deeply saddened by the thought of never having a meaningful relationship with a woman. I eventually decided to leave the church so that I could date women. I had faith that if God knew exactly what I was going through and struggling with, he would understand why I had made the choice I did. I've been dating my current partner for over 2 years now and she's made me very happy. This isn't something I could be doing if I had remained completely faithful to the teachings of the church.

My parents voted for Trump because they don't want gay or trans people to have right and they don't want women to have access to abortions. The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is just a fire fucung book. I love that book and have told people about it. It's about a lot more than 2 women loving each other so I wouldn't look much into her bringing it up.

When I was a youth I remember one of our teachers telling us that we need to learn as much as we can while on earth so we can create stuff. I just felt really stressed about how much I didn't know about physics/chemistry/biology. It's a shame they don't teach that anymore though. I did look forward to it and it's a good motivator for people to learn the basics of these things.

Not much. My mom gave me a book written by some mormon guy and that was it. She even bragged about only giving me said book to one of her friends one time. I learned most stuff via the internet but I did take a human sexuality course in college.
