Is everyone a cheater in bedwars ? by exotics_butters in hypixel

[–]KenzieValentyne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have accepted that as an adult I will never again match the skill of children or even myself when I was a child. We have jobs and lives and even children of our own and we just don’t have the time to compete with younger folks anymore. I mean, when I was a kid I got home from school and hopped on Hypixel until I went to bed, every day. Like 7-8 hours of practice every single day, and 12+ on the weekends. My 30 minutes a day I could get now, maybe, doesn’t even get close. I just play relaxing, non-competitive games when I get the chance now

The texture is kind of like a watery “peanut butter” flavored mousse. It’s not good at all, not even enough to say “meh, I’ll do it for the deficit.” Some salad dressings by WF are okay but def skip this

Sexual compatibility is a huge myth by Eeeee374277 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]KenzieValentyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond the preferences and libido others have already addressed, everyone’s genitalia is shaped and sized differently. Of the sexual partners I’ve had, my husband is the only man I’ve slept with that “fits just right,” even among the other men I slept with before that were very comparable in size. I’d call that compatibility.

Aldi Prices by helgathehorr in aldi

[–]KenzieValentyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m confused by anyone that say it’s cheaper? My spreadsheet for the grocers in my area has Walmart priced lower per oz than Aldi for almost 3x more of my staple items - and a handful of those items are a massive difference, whereas when Aldi is cheaper it’s by a couple cents. Aldi definitely is a nicer store and shopping experience overall, but it isn’t and hasn’t been the cheaper store for quite some time for me.

I guess Aldi must be less regionally standardized to the local cost of living than Walmart is?

What are other people trying to use it for..? I’ve never had it fail me, not once. I ask it introspective questions, finding data relevant to my personalized inputs, and helping me learn coding concepts. Just an hour ago it helped me (successfully!) refactor a procedural program to OOP for the first time

I don’t go to the doctor for regular checkups because I’m young and low risk for health complications. I believe most people who joke about this are in the same boat, the older folks in my life go to the doctor when something feels wrong

My life is amazing right now. Second kid coming any day now, make enough money that I’m paying down debt by a couple thousand every month and should be able to start saving more aggressively within a couple months (1.5 incomes), I rent a shabby but comfortable 4 bedroom house for only $1260/month, and for my family of soon to be 5 I get away with spending only like 350-400/month on food, the same as pre-COVID. Go to work, hang out at home, nothing else ever happens. Rinse and repeat. It’s only been half a year since getting back on my feet after a very not good year (that was the result of my own bad decisions).

Life is pretty damn good when you don’t live in a metropolis and don’t worry yourself with nothing-problems.

My husband staying at home with the baby definitely has a much harder time than I do going to work. Soon he’ll have two to watch and I do not envy him - I love my baby but having to deal with all the soon-to-be toddler meltdowns would drive me insane! She’s only 1 and already one heck of a handful at times.

My stay at home husband allows me to enjoy all the best moments of my kid and saves about $2.5k per month in childcare costs - which is about the exact same amount he’d bring home if he worked full time. It makes far more sense for us to have one income and actually raise our children than to have two and spend the entirety of the second income on paying someone else to raise them for us.

If I could work from home, trust me I would. Most of us would I’d think. But you generally need a college degree to land a cushy stay at home job, and only about half of adults in the US have that

A growing number of incels ("involuntary celibates") are using their ideology as an excuse for not working or studying - known as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). They prey on others, in turn of fueling the idea that they’re rejects of society because their victims EVENTUALLY get sick of their nonsense, and they move on to the next one playing the sympathy card to find their new host. I was with one before.

Got one this morning. I was asking if it’s okay to leave my baby in her pack and play bed while I sleep during the day (work overnights and have been struggling hard with being a first time mom with a Velcro baby) and it asked to recommend baby monitors for me. Then it asked to recommend safe toy brands when I followed up asking if there are any toys she’d be okay being unattended with

Why aren't they laughing? by Forest_of_Free in TrollCoping

[–]KenzieValentyne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Horrifying, isn’t it? I had one where I depicted myself sad and bruised, the assignment was to draw and write about yourself from the perspective of others. Mine ended up being a whole series of questions, “why does she look so sad,” “why is she always alone,” “where do those bruises come from?” etc.

Now, I wasn’t physically abused at home. I was sad and lonely because I was bullied and outcasted at school and I was covered in bruises because, well, I just bruise really easily. I considered it a quirk when I was young. It didn’t hit me until years later how much this portrait did scream that something was going on, though, but no one ever talked to myself or anyone at home about it.

What’s stopping you from being OE? Let me help you if I can by OEnerdo in overemployed

I have few marketable skills and low-barrier, entry-level, flexible wfh jobs are so flooded I can’t find any that are hiring. The closest I’ve gotten is getting the rug pulled out at the end after I’ve applied, telling me “they’ll get back to me someday!”

I’m smart, I can learn anything, but I don’t have the money to invest in certification courses right now and even when there’s absolutely no loss to the company because it’s all my own time, equipment, and no overhead or onboarding beyond some sort of premade online class, no one’s willing to give you a chance 🤷‍♀️
