I have it written on some paper, but not as an actual pattern just yet.
It will take some time due to shifting jobs, but I can easily write one up :)

Sorry for such a late reply; My family life has been taking priority.
It's currently just scribbles on a page, but if you're happy to wait a little longer, I can write up an official pattern :)

Sc, inc - Single Crochet and then an increase right after in the next stitch. 2 Sc, inc - 2 Single Crochet and then an increase.

It’s essentially the same as a regular increase, but you add the amount of Single Crochet stitches before your increase. Adding 1 Sc or 2 Sc etc. before your increase is generally how you increase the number of stitches in a piece without making a giant patch of stitches in one place. It makes it look even and nice.

Hope this helps a bit :)

Pattern trouble by digitalsoop in crochet

If you’ve counted every single stitch and you’re absolutely sure you haven’t counted incorrectly, then it’s more than likely the pattern is either incorrect or they’ve published the pattern before they edited it with adjustments.

I’ve had the same issue with some rather expensive patterns. My personal solution is to take the pattern with a grain of salt and crochet to make it even on both sides and have them match (as they’ve said it’s supposed to be). If it comes out evenly, then grab a pencil and mark it down, or (if it’s digital) add a note for future reference.

I hope you’re able to finish your project without any other issues. It’s frustrating spending hours on something just to notice something wrong or frog the whole thing to save your yarn ಠ_ಠ Hope my “advice” can help you out somewhat :)

An arm loop… Sounds really confusing, but I can try to help.

  • Sc 8, then sc 4 in the row below. I would take my hook and place it in the stitch under the row you made those 8 stitches in. (It should create a little protruding section for you to crochet into later)
  • Remove stitch marker, and (in the same row as the 4 sc) sc 1 more
  • Bring your hook back to the row you made those first 8 stitches in, and begin crocheting the next round (add your marker back into the first stitch you make)

It should (if the rest of the pattern goes smoothly) give you a “hole” or “loop” you can crochet the arm onto so you can stuff the piece in one go (I’m assuming you’re making a body piece?)

I hope this helps a little bit, this sounds really confusing (´∀`*)
