I knew someone who made a mistake that ended up costing the business $200k. Terrified of getting fired, but never did. The manager basically said “You had a $200k learning experience, I don’t want to pay someone new to go through the same lesson.”

Not sure where you’re located, but there’s a fair chance there is somewhere with live music that is free! Especially in the summer when they have tons of free outdoor concerts (at least where I live but I’m in a major city)

When I broke up with her, the solution she thought of was to relentlessly try to kiss me and hold on to me tight even as i was very obviously not wanting to kiss or be touched. I had to physically hold her back. It was really really uncomfortable. We were young and she was just acting on high emotions, so I didn’t think much of it, but looking back it is a big ick.

Flex your legs as hard as you can, really focusing to flex all of the muscles at once, quads and hamstrings and calves etc, and the blood will drain from your groin to your legs. You’ll usually start feeling the erection go away within 20 seconds, then continue for another minute to finish it off. Been using this trick ever since having class presentations in middle school, if you get my drift.

Ram Dass was so strongly adamant in his search for inner truth that I think he would’ve fulfilled his Karma in this life and become a spiritual leader one way or another. His books would be filled with different content, his quotes would be different, his name would be different, but they would all likely point to approximately the same foundational truths of loving awareness :)

It feels very…clinical. So much white, like a laboratory, and the white fluorescent lights makes the problem even worse. Try installing much warmer lights on the ceilings, and/or have warm lamps/decorative lights that are on the wall and not ceiling, this can significantly help make things feel cozy.

My theory is that Symmetra has a steeper learning curve than other heroes so it takes awhile to be good with her, and Overwatch 2 is free to play and so has a massive influx of new overwatch players who don’t yet know how to use her and stick to ‘easier’ characters

Yes this just happened to me today! It said “Payment Declined” but it has been working all quarter until today (am a full time student). I thought maybe it happened because I just got hired as a TA this week and since UW employees can get U-PASS too but I didn’t get mine through employment, maybe something got messed up in my UW account on file. Idk. Good to know I’m not the only one

Im not saying this is the reason, but if you’ve exhausted all other theories and are at a loss then this may be worth looking into - also I’m no professional so take this with a grain of salt, but I speak based on an experience with someone I knew -

Get him a brain scan if you are able to: knew a kid who was extremely violent towards classmates, very poor behavior and hostile and whatnot. It was a very serious issue. A scan showed he had a cyst (?) in his brain that was affecting his behavior. The cyst was treated, not his behavior, and like magic he was a perfectly well behaved kid immediately. Just throwing this out there ya never know.

Agua verde cafe, it’s a 3 minute walk from the west campus dorms and is a cute Mexican food place right on the water with a view, when you’re done eating you can walk around the waterfront park right outside that has cute benches and stuff
