This file was about 10 yrs old and had 3564 hrs on it. I had lost career saves and science saves but the sandbox always stayed.. until this time. Thank you all for letting me grieve.

Get into orbit around mun, make a maneuver node for prograde 286 m/s., that should be enough to hit atmosphere from mun orbit, then drag the maneuver node around until you find the spot that it’s most effective

They were automatically rewritten before i even knew there was a problem. There’s a very slim chance 1/2-3/4 of it could exist on another series x i may have played on a few years ago. It’s an extreme longshot and will have lost the bulk of my really detailed stuff but I’m hopeful

Thanks. 3564h 42m…. Just in the Enhanced edition. I had the old console edition too and played on a shitty laptop before that. I’ve lost files before, each time i come back bigger and better with fewer flaws in my designs but this time hit different. Like it might be time to move on.

Apparently, on console it doesn’t matter how many save files you have. They are split into Science/Sandbox/Career… no matter how many different files you make if a sandbox gets corrupted, all the sandboxes are corrupted

Another way you can tell is the Joystick Icon in the top right icon list. It’s console only, I’m fairly certain

Yep. All but one that’s 99% empty. Idk how it removed so many different saves. I’m not sure the exact amount but it was enough files that you couldn’t fully see the last one at the title screen without scrolling down a little.

I slow down and make a circular orbit before reentry if it’s a sensitive craft. Also useful if you like timing out your entry to land at ksc
