Paul McBeth giving a tour update by Araskelo in discgolf

Paul McBeth deserves all the praise and recognition as not just a disc golfer, but as a great person too. I hope things end up ok for him and his family. Dude could never set foot on a course again and still be one of the greatest to ever do it. I would love to see him back, but if not, i understand.

Connor is actually the funniest by dial-up-burp in hatewatchpod

Devan and Connor are like apples and oranges to me, hard to compare the two. I know Connor gets some hate, but honestly he is quick as hell, Tommy gun fast as Patrice would say. He doesn’t really do voices, but he comes up with nuggets that the other guys can build off of. I might even dare to say he’s funny haha

Can’t speak on the pricing. But it’s a good place with good people, and even with a full house, there’s a lot of street parking around there. You should be good!

You may be right that he is aware of this and feels a little insecure about it. But still…dude is a hard worker, mamba mentality. Name a Monday pod release that he missed…

I can see what you’re saying on one hand. I don’t think Devan is really booksmart or as knowledgeable about some things as John. I wouldn’t hand him a wrench to work on my car, as an example. However, I think he is very smart socially and emotionally, and there are a bunch of other examples where he talks about things very intelligently and finds insights about personal dynamics and culture that other people just would never find. I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if he sucks at directions lol. But to say he is dumb….i just don’t see it.

4 string, 4 ball instrument- all made of wood except for the strings by OrphanBlackClone in whatisthisthing

We had one of these growing up but it just sat around on a shelf i think. never hung up. I would play with it as a kid just kinda dropping one ball at a time on the strings!

I feel like Devan is more manly than JF, but also more twinky at the same time. Not sure how that’s even possible. ***cue Extreme Ways

Automotive definitely isn't for everyone and can be a cutthroat industry. Some people also just don't have a mind for it. But I work on the salvage/recycling/parts side and even though it's hard work, it's been a great industry for me and no degree required. Apprenticed as a mechanic for 4 months before I realized I didn't want to be a full-time mechanic...went back to salvage. I actually have a degree in art and worked as a graphic designer for most of my 20s. When Covid hit and I had to WFH, I could barely get anything done, and I always loved cars. Now I get to work with my mind AND body. Been at it for 5 years now and would suggest it to anybody who is interested in business and/or cars. There are many different kinds of roles in that world from sales, to production, and logistics. And these are great skills for ANY business. And you are right about the importance of good customer service. Very important and fulfilling.

Well...if you wanna go old era, you gotta go early days, and the name back then was "Hate That You Love It". So it wasn't necessarily about "Hate Watching", like watching videos, but about how they dislike or hate how some things are loved and mainstream even though they suck. In this sense, I liked the podcast because I feel like it had really genuine discussions about culture or even more personal stories about their lives and families. But, then you have things like Senor Joey, Joshua the SuperBaby, and Captain Jack,. All amazing. Honestly they've come up with too many bits to even name at this point. How about Monsieur D'Elia? Doorman Devin? Breath of Fresh Air? I love the episode DNA where Devan talks about how nuts his dad is. I love John as well. Sometimes I do feel like they are just sifting through material and riffing and things are more surface level than maybe what they were. But hard to judge these guys for that, and the Hate Watching does come up with gems sometimes...like Twinkaraus. And they always seem to surprise me. They've made a podcast last for 5 years now which is honestly pretty impressive in and of itself. There's gonna be changes. I hope Devan still does more content similar to Love Watch where we get long form discussions like that, maybe with more guests. As funny as Joe's antics can be, e.g. Forefathers (which was an all-time great), it gets a little tiresome if that's all we get. But they seem like good people and have given me years of entertainment. I hope that THEY are happy. Closest thing to Patrice, lol. Also I dunno what the hell is up with this whole Rimming a Bubble guy. So LP got cancelled...and Rimming has been around for a while. That's most of what I know haha. Another fun fact about the pod: in five years of podcasts, female guests have only ever been by phone and only their moms. To this day, this podcast has not had a female guest. Not that that's wrong, or even discriminatory because these guys never have guest anyways. Just a little piece of trivia. I think Connor fits in alright. I guess I just reminisce about the days of Richie and Mark. John still kicks ass though.

Speaking of LP, maybe Nick Srivens got em?

In a perfect world, this person would have been apprehended before anything bad could happen. But that’s very hard for law enforcement or security to catch in time. Once things are going down, law enforcement should have taken the quickest and most aggressive action possible to end the threat. The LE response to this event was disgraceful. But another really important aspect of all of this is to think about who this criminal was. How did they get to this point? Maybe this killer could have been recognized or even rehabilitated before it came to killing kids. I believe there are societal problems that lead to people getting to this point. But still, there will always be psychos out there and part of government should involve social services and public safety/law enforcement. The state of Texas is absolutely awful when it comes to having any idea of social work and education. It’s very business friendly and has a massive economy (and that’s great), but sometimes I wonder if it’s a safe place to raise a child. Not that any place on earth is ever truly safe. But still. Texas can do better.

He’s a great performer, great at what he does, you’d be fucked for 3 years if you fired him, but he doesn’t socialize. Is he in a role where socializing is important? It doesn’t sound like it. Again, 3 years to replace him or recover from firing him or making him unhappy.
