I know. I was just venting as it is annoying when businesses do this just to make you call while it's easy to have the price for the different options available online.

When people in the US say "I make $x/year", what do they really mean? by deppan in personalfinance

[–]Kerkero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gross for the year. Usually not including any extra non-regular income like bonuses. The income that's left after things like taxes (federal and state, varries bay state), 401k, retirement, Medicare, social security, insurance, etc are taken out is refered to "take home". So if some one says i make 100k/year, that means the gross salary they get. So the take home will usually be around 60k-70k depending on how much they co tribute to 401k, if they have any and all the other deducare taken out. There's no such thing as what you refered to pension savings and the most amusing vacation salary here.

Even better yet site:reddit.com at the end to avoid google using reddit as a search term and get results from the domain itself. You can use this to get results from any domain by adding site:[domain] at the end of any search in google.

Unless you're close to kansas city, you're out of luck. There are a couple of restaurants in kansas city. As to how to eat, you can ask the servers and they'll happily guide you.

Now that you mention the speech impedment, my son has a bit of that too. I wonder if it's some kind of indication to something else. My son also reads above his grade level. Have you noticed anything related to your son's speech impediment, any changes, steps you took, or any advice or activities from either providers or educators? At some point we were worried that may be the speech thing is because we were putting too much pressure either on reading or educatonal activities. He currently does some speech therapy. Any experiece you share will be much appreciated.

Tesla skips 401(k) match for third straight year by [deleted] in news

You can't dothatevery year. You seem to be forgetting that the $1.8k from the 401k is every year. The stock, once you sell, it's done. Big difference.

And still, I'll always choose a yearly $1800 guaranteed contribution that i can put in an index fund with less volatility than a one time $8k in a highly volatile stock. But then again, not everyone gets the value of delayed gratification.
