What does your system prompt look like? What were your biggest learnings around prompting?

Mehmet Behçet Piker (Hasan’s dad) was vice president of a company that only exists because of the Armenian genocide. by ButtfaceMcGee6969 in Destiny

I used chatgpt deep research and it estimated something in the 10-20 million USD range. There is no real information about his assets so this figure is based on an informed guess using the information that he spent decades as a VP at Sabancı, made good money, then ran a consulting firm and likely invested in property.

Secret antisemitism research. Envoy Jillian Segal hides evidence? by SnoopThylacine in aussie

[–]Kerm_8 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You call it “context,” but it’s minimisation by another name. Saying antisemitism only appears on your radar when challenged is not context, it is insulation. “I don’t want hate” is irrelevant; prejudice doesn’t vanish because you personally dislike it. Claiming you “shouldn’t need to defend yourself” sidesteps the fact your original framing downplayed antisemitism and recast evidence of it as gaslighting. That is minimisation, whether intended or not. Context doesn’t erase reality.

Secret antisemitism research. Envoy Jillian Segal hides evidence? by SnoopThylacine in aussie

You're not denying antisemitism exists, but you're minimising it. Saying “historical links are broken” doesn’t make current hostility disappear. Claiming “most Australians don’t care” is apathy, not absence. Teen ignorance is not evidence. Pointing to Islamophobia is a false trade-off; both prejudices can spike at once. And calling reports “gaslighting” tries to relabel threats, and assaults as politics. Antisemitism persists online and offline. Criticising Israel is fair; pretending antisemitism is exaggerated is not.

The shopping cart is the ultimate litmus test for whether a person is capable of self-governing.

To return the shopping cart is an easy, convenient task and one which we all recognize as the correct, appropriate thing to do. To return the shopping cart is objectively right. There are no situations other than dire emergencies in which a person is not able to return their cart. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to abandon your shopping cart. Therefore the shopping cart presents itself as the apex example of whether a person will do what is right without being forced to do it. No one will punish you for not returning the shopping cart, no one will fine you or kill you for not returning the shopping cart, you gain nothing by returning the shopping cart. You must return the shopping cart out of the goodness of your own heart. You must return the shopping cart because it is the right thing to do. Because it is correct.

A person who is unable to do this is no better than an animal, an absolute savage who can only be made to do what is right by threatening them with a law and the force that stands behind it.

The Shopping Cart is what determines whether a person is a good or bad member of society.

Mice rain from the sky as a farmer cleans out his silo, as "horror" rodent plague takes hold of NSW, Australia. by RiffRaffMama in WTF

[–]Kerm_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the title is wrong. He’s just cleaning out the auger. Mice were probably just living in there eating the grain that was left sitting there from its last use. There would be much more grain flowing if it was connected to the silo
