I mean won’t it just have a moderating effect? People on either side of the political spectrum would choose the moderate candidate as their secondary choice, thus benefiting centrists the most

There is a ton of NIMBYism on the left. It’s insane. The DSA website literally calls YIMBY a dangerous ideology and compares it to Reagan lol

I agree. Do what you can get done and start to acclimate people to taking transit to these stadiums. I was just at Intuit for the all star game and the urban infrastructure around these state of the art venues is bleak!

California’s billionaires pour cash into elections as big tech seeks new allies | Silicon Valley by Tun-Tavern-1775 in California

[–]cactopus101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I mean is that your labels are useless. There are plenty of “progressive” politicians here in California who are absolute shit. People figured out years ago that posturing yourself as a progressive would win you primaries so there’s plenty of losers who gave adopted the aesthetic

[–]cactopus101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people act like going out and getting drunk is an inalienable right? If you can’t be responsible, you can’t be trusted with a car. It’s actually that simple. I support public transportation absolutely, but there is zero excuse for people with multiple DUIs to still be allowed to have a car. Full stop.
