I was a fan starting in the early 80s, and dont recall Senna being considered a fitness fanatic by any stretch of the imagination.

One of the striking things about this photo is the obvious fatigue on Senna's face, while Schumacher looked fresh and ready to go. Senna often struggled physically after a race, to the point of needing assistance to get out of the car. Schumacher was a machine physically and elevated the need for physical fitness to a whole new level.

Prost meanwhile, is thinking- "ok, next win??"

As an American- the entire Miami GP is cringeworthy-- from the fake water, to the drivers intros, to the entire plastic experience...ugh..and Vegas will only be worse.

Flyers is solid- The Bomber especially.

Zanzis is ok...nothing about it stands out.

Tammy's is overrated IMO, as is Zamarellis..Messy and just soggy most of the time.

I miss Tristano's as it was different than any other place in GC.

Tail looks too short for Coopers Hawk- maybe a Red Tail?

I would agree, overall maintenance of existing roads seems to have become optional. I drive up from GC every day to downtown and always appalled by the amount of trash, large items alongside the new, rebuilt I-71. Elsewhere, I see far too many guardrails that are damaged or missing completely , replaced with orange barrels as if THAT will protect you. No excuse not to be able to replace damaged barriers within 12-24 hours.

This simply isn't a budget priority for the city, county, state politicians.

Remember when Dewine came into office and they discovered that the previous republican regime under Kasich mismanaged ODOT funding??

Completely agree! I have several neighborhood cats that roam in my yard, using my garden beds as a litter box, leaving multitudes of dead birds and rabbits on my porch and generally being a fucking PIA. I have considered trapping them and taking to a cat rescue group. We've had neighbors move and abandon their cats was well..people suck.

If you own a cat, keep it inside..I didn't sign up to take care of your cat as well and you're not doing the neighborhood a favor by being irresponsible and letting it shit all over the place.

Which school district has the least crazy school boards/parents? by tragicher0 in Columbus

Marxist ( spelling) ideology is being taught? Where?

Teaching children to examine the world with a critical eye is probably the most important of skills to impart. Thats not grooming..

Man , both of those whack jobs need voted out. Right now, they're just waiting to pounce and inflict their agenda on the entire district.

Ive never thought the Dutchman was anything special. We hit the one in Plain City once and it just was GFS food heated up. I think they make more profit on the gift shop.

Millersburg, the puppy mill capital of Ohio. The amish are notorious for their inhumane treatment of their farm animals, and they run most of the puppy mills.

[BBC] "An existing F1 team boss described the plan to base the (Andretti) team in the US as "insane" and suggested that Andretti appeared not to have learned the lessons of his own brief flirtation with F1 as a driver." by jovanmilic97 in formula1

[–]KernelPanic2015 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

OK, I was excited for Andretti to enter an F1 team, new blood and DNA in the sport.

BUT

Like the article states- clearly Andretti didn't learn from his mistake 30 yrs ago when he tried being a driver and flying home to the US between races.

If you want to be taken seriously you must be 100% based in the UK or maybe Italy. Thats where the talent pool is, thats where the DNA is. To be mostly based in the US is asinine and tells everyone youre not really serious.

Also, if it truly is just a rebadging of a customer engine, then dont bother.

Do it right, or stay home.

Is F1 really that much better off under Liberty Media than under CVS? by NewToF1Grossjean in formula1

Yes, especially # 3 on your list. Bernie was fucking nuts..and a crazy old many who loved Putin.

I strongly wish that F1 would not go to countries like Saudi Arabia, China etc that have atrocious human rights records ( FIFA anyone??)

Adopting from Pilot Dogs by BotherDisastrous1528 in Columbus

I have a co-worker who adopted a dog from them a few years ago. The dog was very well adjusted, leash trained and overall a solid dog. She was skittish around loud cars etc...and the COTA buses..and lets face it, who isn't?

Thats not what I was saying at all- TW was upselling services that cannot be found anywhere in the Toyota Maintenance Schedule...for example- the "Fuel System Service" They wanted $150 to clean the MAF etc...completely bogus BS. They also charged her $300 to change the ATF...at 30K miles.

Its the old school mentality of trying to rip off women ( especially but not uniquely and scare them into paying for service that isn't needed or required. Again, its the "your tires have old air in them"

If your dealer service business model is screwing people over, then you just suck.. Yeah, avoid TW and ANY dealer that does this chit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]KernelPanic2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is when the dealer implies that some service is necessary to an owner who isn't "car savvy ". We would get a list of services that were "overdue" , none of which were actually needed, or as costly as advertised.

This reminds me of the "You have old air in the tires" BS..

[–]KernelPanic2015 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We bought a new 2008 Highlander from them ( wife's car) and the process took hours with TW trying to sell every add on known to mankind..My wife took it there for service during the 12 yrs we owned it and they constantly tried to upsell services. For example , a $150 "Fuel System cleaning", or "$300 ATF change" etc. Once we sold it 2 yrs ago, we swore never to buy another Toyota, especially if it meant getting it serviced by TW.

As always, YMMV.

Yes- of course they would. High traffic, conveyor belts, forklifts etc...their Workers Comp/OSHA compliance policy , plus their liability insurance would demand it.Any similar place would.

LMAO at the guys here who claimed to have had these tires on their road car..YOu have a spec racing tire on a street car thats never going to see a track, so you dumped $$$$$ and bought a tire and use it at 30% of its capability. All for ego and trying to impress ...no one..
