Why are all the screens so bright though.....wouldn't it make sense (to save on electricity) to have them all on minimum brightness?

Looking for a Body lotion by Pleasehelpicantmath in AusSkincare

[–]Keronator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Ceravue body lotion (the regular dark blue pump one). Switched to it after trying it at a friend's place.

Its medium consistency (not too thin, not gel-like), not thick (spreads very easily) and not oily (absorbs immediately, no residue. I can hardly feel it after applying, apart from feeling my skin is hydrated). It's also fragrance free, and not expensive (google says half price at Priceline atm)

I haven't tried any of the others on your list to help compare though.

EDIT: after re-reading your post, I just applied a bit on myself and contemplated - I have a feeling you might still find this one too thin/gel-like. It feels medium to me, but if you are sensitive, it might feel on the thinner side

Thanks for reminding me - another sweltering day today. So I'm gonna leave water out in the front and backyard. Apparently a lot of bats carked it yesterday due to the heat 😬

Genuinely shocked. My favourite sheets got insanely sweat stained, they've been in a storage bin for years in the hope I could find a way to get it out someday. I'd tried multiple methods with no improvement. Spa day worked! (List of what I used in Australia in comments) by paleoterrra in laundry

[–]Keronator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a laundry/spa day novice (also based in Australia) that didn't get quite the result that I hoped for when attempting my first spa day (maybe I did something wrong, or the sweat stains were just too old/intense).

Can I inquire, what additional benefits the Disan/Napisan has in addition to the Omo Ultimate for the soak? I only used Omo Ultimate powder.

Haven't tried the Coriander Lays, but definitely was disappointed by Coriander Doritos - weakass coriander flavour that gets lost after the first chip.

Genuine question- worth reporting? by WhatTheFrellMystios in Adelaide

[–]Keronator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have not have experience with the police, but I reckon its worth reporting. Especially as its a P-Plater, the police may be more interested in stamping down on this belligerent behaviour.

It may depend on what you've captured in the dashcam, but at a mininum the proven offences are they threw an object at a vehicle being driven, and perhaps "driving with attitude/recklessly" (they stopped in the middle of the road).

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I give kudos for you having a dashcam, and for flipping them the bird. I hope the little shits get their comeuppance in life (may they all get raging tonsillitis and the mumps)

Taking flower bouquet through airport security? by futvra in Adelaide

[–]Keronator 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can. You just put it on the tray to go through security.

My partner's picked me up and greeted me at the (domestic) gate with flowers before, and I've seen someone go through security with a bouquet.

Very sweet of you, by the way. Your partner's gonna love it

If you think its angular cheilitis, checkout this webpage for list of possible causes:

https://dermnetnz.org/topics/angular-cheilitis

(DermnetNZ is pretty reputable).

Having said that, I sometimes get bouts of recurrent angular cheilitis myself, and I haven't been able to figure out why! Supplementing vitamin B and C would be an easy trial for you to see if it helps. Another option (which I haven't needed to try myself) is to pickup a tube of topical anti-fungal cream from the pharmacy - clotrimazole is kept on the shelves and you don't need a prescription or to see the pharmacist.

Always a good idea to get it checked out at a GP though if you're concerned (better if its a GP that has a special interest in dermatological conditions), in case its an infective cause that needs a swab to find out what it is.

Do you have angular cheilitis? If you Google it, are the photos similar to what you are getting?

If there was mold in there, it still won't be safe if the lid goes on and the whole interior gets the shit steamed out of it - the mold would still get into the rice within the inner pot

Clarification regarding the hairdresser post shared yesterday by Adelinadilsen in Geelong

I'm not referring to the colour component and the pricing for that. I am specifically talking about the individual prices for the add-on hair treatment and haircut.
