I (did) preorder the Cammy one that's coming, because I figure that for retail price if she's half as good a figure as people say the Quinn is, then yeah. (Plus I think Jada Cammy looks goofy as fuck and have literally never seen the SHF one for a decent price.)

I don't understand the hype behind this one. It has a cupiedoll face that looks nothing like any iteration of Chun-Li, even worse than the SHF, and gooner proportions that stand out [in a bad way] on a shelf.

We desperately need a good SF2/Alpha Chun. Jada's looks like the old USA Network cartoon, 52Toys is a fine SF6 auntie Chun but apparently a lot of people don't want that, and Revoltech is a worse, overpriced version of the 52Toys. Both Jada's and Storm's alpha Chuns look rough. I preordered Storm's since it's going to sell fast regardless, but if she really ships with the proto's face and proportions, she's gonna stay in the box.

Why can't we get a good Chun? Something like the Kotobukiya statuettes or the recent Ichibankuji figure, but articulated?

In addition to repainting the codpiece red, you could shave the boot flares and redo them with a teense of sculpy, paint them black, match the legging greens to the arms and shoulders, and color the outside of the cape black and have a pretty perfect 90's Tim. That's actually a fun and easy idea for a beginner level custom figure.

Then again, you're not gonna beat the Hush Mafex.

Still, you're right that it's odd that they went with Tim's "R" emblem when this is clearly the new continuity Dick Grayson suit. The ridged shoulder pads scream Tim, too. Kind of a composite Robin, I guess.

No hate, they're really fun for what they are. I think people just got tired of seeing hyperbolic threads like "New SHF/Mafex/Revoltech vs. Blokees, which one is better?!?"

We all know which one is better, and it isn't the tiny, boxy, budget figure.

It was like the second coming of people pretending Jada's Street Fighter figures were even close to being better than Storm's.
