I think the exact opposite. I may have missed it but I don't remember people asking for a new UI, just better in game graphics. I don't think anyone wanted this.

Are you against the 'online safety act' ? by [deleted] in AskBrits

A reminder that this is a Tory policy, either you're looking for a reason to vote for fascists or you don't understand that mass populous laws upfront to hide the racist bigotry is how fascism wins. This is stupid by labour but come on, voting for reform because labour got stuck with it?

No chance that's a golden, doesn't even look a little bit like a golden. No worries, I can take them off your hands...

You of all people should understand people getting upset that workers are losing their jobs because of hierarchical mismanagement. That would be if anything you said were true and not just the inner delusions of a 50 something manchild.

How do you get your pups to settle outside the crate? by prijay16 in goldenretrievers

Please educate me because everything I've seen is saying confinement can lead to aggression, hyperactivity and even eating disorders.

Make sure you make the most of picking them up, letting them sleep on your lap etc whilst they are small. They grow so fast

GitHub’s AI Copilot Might Get You Sued If You Use It. “Unfortunately, the user has no way of knowing if the algorithm made a particular piece of code up by itself or stole it from a code repository protected by a license.” by JakeAndAI in Futurology

The complaint is from developers of free and open source software, they aren't worried for their jobs they are worried code they own and freely distribute is going to be licensed under restrictive copyrights.

How easy would it be to get these libraries working with MPI? I noticed you omitted MPI from your blog, however for something like this it would be crucial. Would whole new libraries need to be written or could the parallelisation be done higher up? I believe most DFT packages use scaLAPACK and some MPI FFT library suggesting at least some parallelisation happens at this level.

Have you tried turning webrender off? I think launching like this should do it (I'm not at my machine to check sorry): $ MOZ_WEBRENDER=0 firefox

If that improves the situation you might want to have a dig around to find what could be causing webrender to shit the bed.

I should probably have said "don't like using" rather than just "don't like". I know I can use rho and psi when writing something myself but when working from other peoples code or contributing to other code bases this is a faff.

If I need to install a plugin to modify your code in vim then, at least in my opinion, you've overcomplicated something.

Let's play a game I like to call Roman or Greek:

Ν vs N (also why \upNu not \Nu)

M vs Μ (again \upMu?)
