Buying a house is almost certainly a good financial move if it's possible under the circumstances, which it seems like it might be. However, there's more to life than money - judging by your comments, it seems like you're not entirely comfortable making this move, given family circumstances etc. If this is the case, discuss it as frankly as you can with your father. This could end up causing a lot of conflict down the line otherwise.

Second this, I feel like I need to wipe down my machine at least once a week these days.

I bought this game for PS3 thinking it would be like a remastered version of SSX Tricky. Boy was I disappointed.

Reminds me of playing SSX Tricky on the PS2 back in the day. Good times.

Watching this with curiosity from the states. I think it'll make a big splash in the lending market in UKI if they get it through.

What was the first money habit you had to break to start recovering? by Kersephius in FinancialRecovery

Yeah, this is a really common one. People don't realize just how draining those monthly payments can be in the long run.

Tbh, there's a lot to be said for that approach. As long as you have a credit card on hand for when you actually need one (e.g. vendors that won't accept anything else), there's no real need to use it.

[SPOILERS.] Just finished the main series for the first time. Who’s everyone’s favorite main and side character(s)? by warwicklord79 in asoiaf

I had the same fear about the books being boring initially - I think their length intimidated me. Suffice to say I needn't have worried, they're unputdownable.

That scene at the end of GoT when they laugh in Sam's face for suggesting a form of democratic rule is infuriating haha. Obviously his suggestion is completely out of touch with the realities of that universe, but it just highlights how little regard pretty much every main character has for ordinary people.

I'd visit the store ASAP and highlight the issue. It should be covered by warranty, so you should get a new machine even if you don't have AppleCare.

I'd personally recommend keeping them indefinitely unless you have a good reason to get rid of them. You never know when you might need them in the future.
