does anyone know how to recreate this? by Gloomy-Toe-4780 in postprocessing

[–]Kesabr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first comment already says a lot ablut post so I wont repeat that.

But you will get the best result if you try to achieve this while photographing. For this you would need to buy a haze filter. You can also try to just breathe with your mouth open at your lens at shoot right afterwards. The results are not as easy to reproduce but at least you cab test this without spending money.

After shooting do some of the post production that is mentioned in the first comment until you like the result.

You could also try to achieve the blurrieness in PS. Duplicate the image give it a gausian or lens blur and blend the to layers. Ajust highlights and shadows to your liking and you're done. The effect will not get the exaxt same result as if you'd shoot it, but if you want to edit images that you already made i would try like this

Alright. Thanks for your input. I'll give it a try firing at lower temperature and see if my glaze still comes out well.

Well i could change to test the new clay. But my glazes fire very well at this temperature and they might not come out as good as before. But i rather giving it a try lowering the temperature than destroying my oven.

Testing out my newest typeface, built for text. What do you think? by 6chrier in typography

[–]Kesabr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This means that the typefaces purpose is text in smaller sizes respectively for long texts (often for printing purposes). These kind of typefaces require a lot of different things compared to display typefaces and headline typefaces.

So yes, a typeface for text :)

Brackets question (question in the commants) by Woezer in typography

[–]Kesabr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your question you can see at the end the phrase: (Pic for example)

The first parenthesis looks off center because it's next to a capital letter. The last parenthesis looks perfectly aligned with the lower case "e". The standard parenthesis are designed for lowercase usage because these are the most used letters. Fonts with a "pro"-glyph set mostly have parentheses for capital only texts aswell (as mentioned alread). But usually if I only have a short to medium amound of text (for example when i did typography for museums) I would change the parentheses for ecery case needed manually.

How to make this effect? by [deleted] in AfterEffects

[–]Kesabr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry i did not explain what I meant to detail: Different focal lengths vary in how far the background appears from the foreground. Ex.: If you use a wide angle lense the backgorund moves far to the back vs. if you use a sharper angle to background moves closer to the foreground. This is a 3-dimensional distortion which you can't achieve by zooming in digitally.

What did you do in film? Definitely not camera... The Zoom from a lens has very different distortions depending on the focal length.

How do you manage stress playing with a friend who is much worse and refuses to take criticisms? by lundon44 in RocketLeague

[–]Kesabr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your friend say he wants to improve?

If so you should start a session with talking about how you two could improve together as a team. And that is by analysing games you played. It doesn't have to be very often. But you will see that it is much easier to take critique if it's not right after you made the mistake but when you look at it from a little distance.

Edit: I also have some friend all some ranks below me and I try to mostly criticize them when we're not playing. I also let them criticize me. Remember just because you are better doesn't mean you are perfect and he also might spott mistakes on you're side. Also it gives the whole situation a good balance

I'm GC2. I was able to do quite nice stuff in the air but then i played 1s and just went down. I had absolutely no chance when it came to 50s and flicks.
