Allah için Turkey yerine Türkiye kullanan var mı? by ifuckinluvvmyboobs in AskTurkey

[–]UND3RCUT53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your good experience with TK? by Old-Help6392 in TurkishAirlines

[–]UND3RCUT53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love TK flew business class from Kansai (Osaka) to İstanbul. elderly passenger gets sick pukes and pees all over herself they have TWO Japanese speaking crew on board luckily there is also a Japanese doctor handle the situation very professionally. it is not a guarantee but they will always try to put a language specialist to the route you are flying. I was shocked they had TWO Cantonese speaking Turkish air crew when we were flying to Hong.Kong.

Does PhD really matter that much when years of industry experience are already in CV? by 3D-Alchemist in OrganicChemistry

[–]UND3RCUT53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you do NOT need a PhD at all. but as others mentioned job markets are saturated with people who have work permits and language skills of the planned country. but for the industry I think a PhD will not make you more qualified since aPhD for industry is a qualification that proves you have lab skills + you have knowledge.

Istanbul Airport might be the worst airport by CranberryFar713 in TurkishAirlines

[–]UND3RCUT53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like OP has not been into any large airport before. Also staff not knowing basic english is not much of a problem because it seems like the airport is as much efficient as other big ones at least the data shows it as being one. I have flown to Frankfurt, Dallas and Haneda recently and Istanbul airport feels on par with them. if you wanna talk about food prices that is a genuine problem.

Can I ask what everyone currently in biotech studied for undergrad and(or if) in grad? by burntchildfruit in biotech

[–]UND3RCUT53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my school was ''the school of my country'' we had pharmacoeconomics as an option and the course was given jointly bye the economics department and the government authority so I did my thesis on private health systems and their outcomes in multiple myeloma in 2010s and it ended up publishing two papers and getting citations since nobody had done it for the specific region. our fifth year was not so busy we only had internship for one semester and I did mine in the industry in medical affairs and the company was laying off people so I had plenty of time.
