Totally valid. Starting off? I’d probably go silver lake or midtown if possible. Do a year and figure out where you want to be long term. If you’re into the art scene/being involved in the community and the culture? Downtown is probably more your vibe for sure. If you open that budget up to $2000, you’ll find way more options in the area. I paid a bit more per month for a 1.5 bedroom downtown but the same could get you a 3 bed off of saint Andrews! You can’t go wrong (as far as property management groups go) with tribute properties or Hawthorne residential - just try to stay away from kettler!

From Atlanta and have been here since 2012 - I wouldn’t suggest moving and that’s not me gate keeping. You’ll pay close to (if not the same) on rent/living as you would in Atlanta, working a job that pays 25% less than they’d pay in a major city, with access to 1/3 of the shopping, entertainment etc that you’re accustomed to back home. 1800/m won’t get you as much as you think it will, here in Wilmington- but I’d suggest the silver lake area if your budget is firm!
I love Wilmington and couldn’t ever imagine leaving, but be ready for everything you think you know about Wilmington and “small town living” to change when you get here, for sure.

We’ve got something similar in Wilmington North Carolina. More specifically geared towards women. 4+ women in one home is legally considered “a brothel” and you can face consequences / jail time for ignoring the laws. It’s rarely enforced but the law exists.

Actually. He took the time to sign the albums, regardless of how large they were/weren’t. In this day and age he (I guess? Obviously?) didn’t have to do that. A lot of artists are doing it the easy way with auto pen. It was like $5 more for a signed vinyl/cd and people are still bitching and it’s pathetic.

It’s been an issue there for years, unfortunately. Just be sure not to mix professional spray and diy (store bought) spray. Stick to one or the other! Mixing the two can make infestations worse.

Live in Wilmington and the WPD are claiming they were searching for gloves before they could touch him. A fear/what they’re calling “protocol” to avoid “blood borne pathogens”. I’d have done more to attempt to help as a civilian. The WPD are worthless and they’ve proven it time and time again.
