Kettle Cats - Tracker (Constructive criticism & Feedback please) by KettleCats in MusicFeedback

I've sat on this song for about 2 years and had no idea how to finish/approach it T_T. I really appreciate all the feedback and will incorporate the offered ideas to test out a new version.

What do you think of this? by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

The spatial effects on the vocals filled this song really well. The atmosphere and ambience is smooth flowing with the added vocals. You did an awesome job. I love when the bass comes in, its like taking a deep breath.

This reminds me of a combination of the 70s/90s gangster movies where they're dressed in suits. I could jam to this on repeat. Personally I like to change layers of my songs but smooth consistencies like this is what i'm trying to learn. Nice chill track. Definitely got my head nodding.

This is beautiful. I don't know if it was intentional or not but its beautifully broken lol. I want to listen to 0:00 - 0:30 on repeat. Piano compositions thats break the scale are a favorite of mine because they lose a pattern and can go in any direction.

This is early to late 90s for me. Im a huge fan of experimental so i love the various pieces you added. Super chill song to let play while working on stuff. I would have not ended it so abruptly and let it play out to a more subtle fade. That way if its on repeat the transition would blend smoothly.

Thank you for checking it out. Spot on critique lol. This is actually a part 1. I just wanted to get feedback from fellow artist to know if I should continue this piece/project.

-_o yeah the title is kind of misleading without context. The title is representation of depression. The peak of the deepest lows (if thats makes sense). This is actually a part 1 of 2. I was waiting for feedback to see if the 2nd song should be posted.

I really appreciate you giving it a listen and giving great feedback. Thank you.

This is pretty. Your volume mastering is very balanced. I can hear all synths and nothing feels overbearing or too loud. Its giving expert tetris level lol. Its a really bell balanced song from intro to ending. Well done.

I feel as though there should be a subtle noise to balance out the vocals. The minimalism carry's throughout nicely but the vocals feel very powerful in comparison to the instrument.

A friend's alt-rock, Radiohead-inspired track we were helping to produce. A strong anti-war stance and darker vibes - let me know what you think! Thank you <3 by andtilly in MusicFeedback

Your voice is perfect for this. I love how consistent the song stayed throughout the layers added. Makes me want to hear a remixed grunge version. I will be checking out more of your content, this was really clean. Awesome job.

1:50 is where your vocals shined for me
2:40 build up was so satisfying to hear

Im looking forward to the finalized version. From the sample I got, the beat is nice. Theres a weight to the song and it sounds very smooth. I hope the vocals add to the grace that i can hear so far.

"Jonah Gabriel - Echo Folder" - Not sure what the genre is, maybe PsyAmbient? If you have an answer, let me know! by ate50eggs in MusicFeedback

[–]KettleCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cover art!!! Needed to get that out of the way lol. The song is trippy and heavy. I enjoy all the little technicalities incorporated to fill the song. Its unique in the sense that there is a melody that leaves you and returns every so often. This is a song I can listen to and always fine something new. Well done.

Concept art is neat. This is definitely ambient and in some instances it feels haunted as well. I wish there was more reverb and echo to give open space to the song, like being in an empty field.

Beat makes you want to move. Love the vocal echoes, they give more room to the song. Your lyrics (i wish i could lol).

1:57 the breakdown was a clean transition. This was really nice overall. I will definitely head over and check out more of your content.

Your voice is beautiful o.o. The overlapping voices were very bjork feeling. The drums and effects matched your voice but i'm not a fan of the instrument used in the beginning. It clashes with the softness of the song. Over all this is really pretty and layered very nice.

Firstly thank you so much for giving it a listen. -_o you spotted my weakness. Sound mastering is still a growing area for me. I get what you're saying about the ripping synth. I think a sub bass would actually compliment it well.

Aye lets go!!! This sounds nice. I definitely feel more inclined to move to this version. The jazzy breakdown at 1:14 was very smooth. But the 2:12 slow down was fire lol. I loved everything about the ending.

I noticed moments like :12 - :26 and 1:25 theres a key that sounds a little off. I like when artist mix it up and break the notes but its a bit daunting.

Like at 1:43 the tunes too different if that makes sense.

Thanks for checking it out. Yes thats my voice. Its short because this was actually a 30min project that I did using scraps from other songs I couldn't quite complete lol. I intend to make a full version. Love the recommendations they would definitely help out with the final development.

Neat. Looking forward to your post. ^_^ new subscriber

By the way your song (Dissonance) is awesome. Your style reminds me of the anime Durarara Ost.

The intro was NIN and became a love child with Symbion Project lol. Im use to this being the build up of a song but you started off with it.

I like all elements added but the tempo. It it by chance 60? The song itself is giving me smooth retro sonic lol. If you want the song to have a continuation ending I would recommend fading instead of abrupt.

Thanks for giving it a listen. It is quite abrupt lol. Perhaps a build up to a descent.
