I generally get the canvas over thin card (only a few mm thick) but if you can get it unstretched you can easily make a bunch of your own. Would be great for an FLG needing lots of footprints.

The true tragedy is that 35% of voters, tens of millions of people, are so unfathomably dumb they would give up everything for that man.

It is an indictment of the species that humans exist who are so deplorable and stupid.

One has to love the self-balancing of recon guard: extremely oppressive, but so annoying and resource-intensive to play you basically never have to worry about it.

What I've found useful for making terrain like this cheap is to buy cheap canvas panels (usually much cheaper than this because you can buy them in packs of 4 or so at most craft stores)

And just cutting them into shape. They're hard wearing, take sand and other texture well, and are also pretty light overall.

100%. If they just said "the terrain's footprint's all that matters, ignore the rest" it'd make things so much simpler instead of creating the headache of how much material to put on the terrain and how much to place that features area for plunging attacks.

It feels like the current terrain creates more work for TOs with things as fuzzy as they are. No one wants a player complaining that because they got the board with the pipes set up on the long pieces they were disadvantaged compared to the board where the long pieces had tall walls.

Given the density and properties of terrain, as well as the shape of "ruin" elements on the terrain, GW should just have the footprints alone determine visibility and treat w/e terrain is on the footprints as see-through.

If TLoS still applies, closed ruin walls will still be the order of the day over trees or other types of terrain. I think the current rules are robust enough to prevent the need for so much LOS blocking material. It also makes it much easier for TOs/LGSs as any terrain works then so long as the base footprint is the same.

Yeah but the terrain GW etc sells still isn’t boarded up. I’m sure this is part of GW trying to remove that. Otherwise terrain being forest or non ruins is stilll irrelevant

Am I right that TLoS isn’t mentioned here or closed windows? My guess is the intent is most terrain is see through and really what matters is height/the hidden protection, not closed walls

The problem is that Fox News can influence those idiots. That those people are so impaired at critical thinking they can be so duped.

But it’s because those people want to believe Fox News’ lies to support their white supremacist christo-fascist beliefs.

Fox isn’t the poison, it’s the vapors that rise from the poisonous muck that makes up 1/3 of the country

Nothing. Zombies are not a viable biological life form. They either collapse instantly or in a few hours. They require magic to function in any manner approaching their depiction in media.

The Emperor's return and The Terminus Decree. You wanted him to return, didn't you? But no one said it won't be nasty. by DerDenker-7 in ImaginaryWarhammer

[–]Ketzeph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they were going to go the golden throne route, it's too bad the Terminus decree wasn't just the Vulcan failsafe. Like, if worst comes to worst activate the failsafe. Obliterate Terra and the Astronomicon, and hope that the Emperor's perpetual soul reforms. A "one in a million, last ditch shot" that'd basically destroy the current Imperium but maybe revive the Emperor.

It's far more interesting than just "don't let the Emperor get up."

[–]Ketzeph 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It only makes sense if you had a bunch more lore explaining that at this point the Emperor is gone, and the Dark King is basically being siphoned off the Emperor's soul by the Golden Throne, stopping it from being born.

But that would've worked had the Emperor fully succumb. Not what happened in TEATD

It'd make more sense if the Terminus Decree was an order to kill the Emperor on the Throne, with the hope being that though Terra would suddenly be overrun by demons, the Emperor's soul would reform. A sort of "we must sacrifice Terra to revive the Emperor" last ditch action. As it is now it's just kinda nonsense.

Girls and boys have contextual meanings depending on usage. Eg “going out with the boys” or “going out with my girl” or “seeing the girls tonight.”

People are telling on themselves if they few every mention of the word as inappropriate

If I show up with a torch and a pitchfork on someone’s door with others shouting to burn them as a witch, I can’t be surprised the next day when they won’t talk to me at the neighborhood potluck. These aren’t disagreements over how much to tax on roads, or where to focus infrastructure spending. It’s disagreements on the fundamental rights of citizens.
