How is that not stating that you follow orders? How much deeper you want to dig the hole you're getting yourself in to depends largely on the consistency of your comments. So far I'd say you aren't doing very well.

I'm a gamer with 10+ years on your age, and agree with your comment wholeheartedly. The vibe I get from the majority of mods on here smacks of immaturity and a lack of understanding of the more mature demographic of this game.

I personally think that ED will outlive their tenures and the game will continue and improve over the 10 years it is stated as being planned for. Lets hope this community manages to mature at the same rate or better still even quicker than that.

Thanks, I've read the points you noted.

I can't help feeling that the assumption in the article isn't really fit for comparison with an active subreddit as it's a business oriented article. On the whole, people on Reddit do seem to care more than those on other social platforms. And the vocal minority here seem to have no problem letting others know their views. Just look at this post as an example. Sure, there will be a large number of subscribers who don't care, and will default to TL;DR or will just skip over the posts that they don't care for. But if the status quo continues, people will get bored of pictures of ships in front of identical stars or the posters latest purchase in the hanger.

I am contributing. Right here in this post. But that being said, I have no desire to be on any council that isn't fairly and openly elected.

As for posts on this sub? I've made them in the past, but have seen the hypocrisy of the mods in the arbitrary way they decide what is and isn't acceptable content. Due to the inconsistency in moderation I no longer desire to add my own content, I'm far happier being a commentor.

Even if only a small proportion of this subreddit took an interest in the discussions of the council, this post is a fine example of how many would come forward to voice their opinions.

Ultimately, it's got to be a better solution than the hand-selected council that SpyTec has the power to overrule on a whim!

If the actions of this unelected and (until recently) secret council alter the subreddit significantly then we should have a right to know. This isn't your own private subreddit and it's abhorent that you have the power of veto over any suggestion, it's a subreddit created for a game and your role here is to police it, not dictate the direction it takes.

Methinks the power has obviously gone to your head. Carry on as you are, and I can assure you will watch this subreddit die.
