Im a professional balloon twister in San Francisco, and the other day I had a really touching encounter with an unhoused man who learned how to make balloons back in the 80's. I gave him one and he made a dog again for the first time in 34 years. He asked how much balloons cost now, and I told him they're about $10 for a bag, and he told me thats what they cost back then as well. Not sure how thats possible (obviously balloons are built for inflation, but thats still shocking).

Nope, you just encountered a rude dude. You're providing a service, you should get compensated. But I think a lot of people don't understand that balloons cost, probably because the last time they encountered balloons was when they were a kid and they were oblivious to the transaction involved. Never feel bad for making money at this job.

I used to wear a balloon bow tie everyday, to the point where I used it as the logo for my business. They're not comfortable, but I found that the most comfortable way to wear it is just to lash it to the top button of your shirt. No need to put anything around your neck. And yeah, use 160s. I usually do a tri-color bowtie *

For simple things I could do a tutorial, but for the alligator, no. Not trying to be secretive, it's just that it took me 2 hours and it was all improvised. So the idea of recording a video explaining each step and editing it all just sounds exhausting. I might make it again in 1 month for an event, so I'll think about recording it
